You inspired me today
as I walked through grey streets
and looked into eyes without dreams.
But you inspired me and I felt your face
burn a hole in my purse
from where you smiled out at me.
Your thoughts kept me sane
as I walked alone
and angels awoke from their
drifting sleep
to remind me
of life
and of hope.
And it's because you were there
and inspired me
Today.

I really like the imagery in it, and my imaginary friend here likes the ending, but I think the basic premise needs a little bit of work. It is very nice work, just needs to be clarified a bit with the jump between burned holes in purses and angels in the sky. I was confused for a moment...
