I bought "spit" oif Ebay and was wondering if anyone here has heard of them or likes them.

It's probably very healthy to have somthing other than placebo in my music collection.
oscarhilton
i hav'nt no. Are they any good?
depressed lonely crazy person
they fit with my liking of angry chick music....I've not heard oracle as my local CD store can't/won't get it in.

Hey. I'm a fan of Kittie and Placebo. Are you me? Only not. I have to admit that Kittie are a bit much sometimes (they don't suit all moods - unlike Placebo tongue.gif) But I wouldn't say no to them if someone offered to play them. Just a tad too 'angry chick' sometimes but some very spanky songs have they produced!

I like your taste! *huggles*

I think I just peed a little! You stole my CD collection, didn't you?! Bjork ate my babies and I liked it!

Nice to know I'm not the only me out there! :huggles:

I *HATE* Kitty.

I find their music boring, generic chick rock lacking in any musicality, poetry, or melody. It's nu-metal for chicks - another male bashing band that sells great at Hot Topic, I'm sure.

Blech.
Fallen Element
Never been to Hot Topic personally but I'm sure you are right Mike. Although - if it is nu-metal for chicks: why do I (a 100% genuine male) like it? And yes, their music probably is boring and generic, lacking any musicality or poetry - but that doesn't mean it is unacceptable to be mainstream. It just means that there are better than them out there. But there are definately worse...

I started out with a point as well... Damn.

Glad to have a bit of diverse opinion.

On the tangent of chick rock (forgive me for hijacking your thread DLCP) What do people think of Sugarcoma? Very Kittie-esque but not quite.

Hey, people can like whatever they like... I'm just not a fan at all. And when I said "for chicks" I actually meant "by chicks for chicks" which translates to "gimmick to sell t-shirts to wannabe goth/lesbian girls."

...I'm not speaking from experience or anything, though. dry.gif
MistressAlti
Meh, Kittie has its catchy moments, but it is fairly generic.

Kittie can be good to listen to sometimes. Sugacoma are just godawful.

never heard of them....
Part of my taste in music revolves arond the fact that I stopped listening to the radio allmost 4 years ago(because I hate rap/RnB and that seemed to be all they played) and have only started listening to triple-J again in the last month, with good results I supose, its just that what I would classify as pop-rock the media (thanks to an unhelpfull american influence(no offence)) now calls rock and the like like kelly O and pink gttin g called goth and Avril getting called punk*shudder*.

And I'm a little nitted off by bands trying to immitate the white stripeses album elephant with that try-hard old school scrap-rock sound *eg the datsons, the vines and dozen other imitators though it's better than the crappy teenage singers that go on about love and adult situations that they have no concept of.
I'm just hungry for the great aussie garage-band sound that we were churning out with the superjesus, somthing for kate, jebediha, spider bait, silverchair, powder finger, killing heidi etc en masse in 1998-2002
^that^ was my favorite time and kind of music

Actually I don't mind the Sugarcoma tracks I've heard. Their cover of Crazy beats the Britney Spears version easily!
MrTeapot
I remember SugaComa, gah thinking about them now I can almost taste the puke brewing in my throat. And the guy in the band just stood around doing very little while the girls pulled the hair off of this fake Britney Spears lookalike. Amusing but not good music.

And its not exactly that hard to beat Britney's version of Crazy, I've heard cats sing it better while shagging outside my window.

[MrTeapot respects everyones choice to listen to music they enjoy. This above post is just an outlet for him to express his angst at music he finds not to be his taste. He appologises sincerly for any distress he has caused and will shine your shoes for a month.]
