Boobs... meh. 'Take 'em or leave 'em. The thing that gave me trouble was the term 'ugly'...

I don't think I've met anyone who I would consider ugly who hasn't made themselves that way. I'll give an example...

I was working with a girl, blonde hair, blue eyes, she was eighteen, I was nineteen, she had a great figure, clear skin and was all-round the standard issue idea of what men are supposed to want. But she used it. She used the way she looked to get out of doing things, she believed the world, and men especially should owe her favours because she was the stereotype of a physically attractive woman, and because of that I thought she was very very ugly.

Conversely I've known lots of people who in physical terms are okay to not very good looking who just seem so beautiful because of who they are.

I answered 'no way' because if I couldn't see beauty in a person I wouldn't want to be going out with them.

I'm not a guy (in case ya didn't already know that.... hehe ) so I just nulled my vote... but I have to say I completely agree with what Mata said (geesh... he's so smart, isn't he?) Somebody who may look physically attractive at first, may not look so pretty or handsome to you anymore once you get to know them.... And when you really get to know somebody wonderful--somebody you may not have been attracted to initially.... that person may become the most beautiful person in the world to you.... Well... You may think i'm being fake by saying this but it's the true way i feel about all this sort of stuff. I couldn't be with a woman who a wonderful body and/or looks, without getting to know her first, there needs to be something on the inside as well as the outside.

That is a really interesting question. Where's the answer for those of us who don't care so much about the way someone physically looks? I don't think anyone, not even the most shallow human being would be comfortable going out with a gorgeous person who had a hideous personality. Like Mata said, people make themselves ugly. The way a person physically looks is not within their control, unless they made themselves purposely like that (ie; ate at McDonalds every day for 32784623 months). So yeh, that would be my answer. So long as she were an okay perosn. And what's with the parentheses! Lol, why'd I answer? I date females too. Int'resting poll indeed. I really don't think there's a shallow person in these forums.

One last thing, as proof that looks do NOT make the date. I once dated this rediculously handsome boy I attended school with. You know, it started out alright because we hadn't spoken with one another so much. But once we did, it turned out that he was a complete jerk who was indeed terribly shallow. He ended up going off the deep end, and the relationship as a whole was crap. Ladies, men, don't date someone just because they're attractive. You have no idea what sort of psycho you'd pick up.
