Okay, the music for the new Mittens is taking longer than expected, so
here's another quickie:
http://www.matazone.co.uk/animpages/the-brave-duckling.htmlI could do with as many hits as possible at the moment, so please pass
this on to friends who you think might like it.
Cheers!

I'm beginning to consider writing a whole bunch of these and trying to get them published... I wouldn't animate them all though, otherwise it would take me ages!

O, ahem
Liked it a lot.
It would be cool to have them published. I am certainly for the idea.

I just thought the way the duckling was eaten by the pike with no sound effects or anything like that to exaggerate it was hilarious. And I'm totally for the publishing idea...
But seriously, how long is it taking that Shok guy to make the music?
Mata
May 12 2005, 05:46 PM
Actually I've been talking to him just a moment ago and he's currently rendering the track.
There are slight splosh noises on the soundtrack, although they are understated because I thought it would be funnier than a big splash. Turn your volume up a bit! There are also distant duck noises and the sound of water running

Nice choice of avatar at the moment. I'm a big fan of Vermeer.

I'm assuming that's a guy from Kiss, if that's the case then yes he is, or something like it at least.

On second thought, maybve he's Frehley, the lead bass, but heck, what do I remember.

I like your poem-like animations especially the duck one.... but couldn't he have got sticky tape and strapped the drum sticks to his wings?

(this guy seems to manage)
I don’t know

Very very good.

How would a duck cut the tape?
Y'see, you've got to think these things through!

These forums really do veer of dont they?
Anway!
Like animation-feel bad for the little ducklings that had its dreams crushed.
WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO TEACH US MATA?
Mata
May 31 2005, 06:11 PM
That the world is determined to destroy you.
Either that or you should focus on the moment and live it to the fullest.
Either that or that life is mean and apparently meaningless, and that's just the reality of it, no matter what your dreams are.
Either that or you have to believe in God otherwise existence, especially brief existence, is meaningless and that's just too cruel.
Take your pick!

That the world is determined to destroy me. I've known THAT for a while.
I'm pretty sure you're controlling the destroyers, me being the destroee.
Is it true? Do I really want to know?
Mata
Jun 1 2005, 01:09 AM
If I were the sole controller of the forces of destruction on this planet then things would take a very different path.
I'm not sure I would want the role. I see the good in people, but I hope that I could make good decisions about what you stay and what should go.
As the world often proves, sadly there doesn't seem to be such a predictable process in place.

its beak
Mata

It would just be left with a taped up beak and would then either suffocate (if it has sinus problems) or starve to death.

You really have it in for ducks don't you?
I think it would be really cool if you published a book with the non-animated animations
P.S. PRETAINING TO MATA AND WHOEVER ELSE WANTS IT TO PRETAIN TO THEM: Since you enjoy creating such twisted humor- I would like to reccomend a site. www.albinoblacksheep.com
Its a bit like this except maybe a little less wierd and its people submitting thier animations.
i would reccomend going to this animation first-It is called END OF THE WORLD. Very funny and I believe it may amuse you.
PLze tell me what you think
Thanks you

oh... yeah... oops. But still it doesn't matter if he found a way to play the drums... he gets eaten by pike

Albinoblacksheep... Yes, I've seen them before. They have nicked a load of my animations and put them on there without asking me. In the end I decided to let them have them because I felt it was good promotion, but it would have been nice if whoever did it had asked me first rather than me having to find out by myself later.

Yeah, it does have some good stuff on there! I didn't mind so much in the past because it meant that I didn't have to pay for the bandwidth, these days though I need the income from the banners so I need to get as many visits to these pages as possible.

If you go off on ANY computer like tangent-I am not going to be able to understand a thing you say. All I can do is click the mouse and type the keys (and thats only because I like the noise it makes

Yes. I was thinking that. Although, as you say, a little bit of publicity doesn't hurt. If you were doing the non-animated short story book thing (like the brave duckling) would it be a published book or a book would you have to buy it off your site? - Either way ill check it out, I just wanted to know

. You could like do one were a mice and a vole are collecting nuts for the winter (I say nuts but in don’t thing mice
or eat them...) and one mice works really hard and the other one doesn't. When winter does comes the mouse is warm and has lots of food... but the vole doesn't have anything. The vole eats the mouse and takes his house and food

hee hee hee. (you really don’t have to use that AT ALL I just felt like it

I am considering making a book of the short poems. Availability entirely depends on 1) me deciding to write it for certain 2) anyone wanting to publish it.
oscarhilton
Jun 6 2005, 06:52 PM
i would buy it, not that it helps the situation but yes i would consider it

I think you would have a good chance of publising it. I mean there have been so many small funny books why not another?

I to would buy it if I had the chance. I love little books of diddys.
(but as oscarhilton said, Not sure how much that helps-I guess its some motivation...)
