It’s interesting that it's two parts of the brain that control sex and love... What if one side was damaged... It would be like a manic weird pervert

Well, that might actually explain a lot of the more extreme sexual predators in the world... Although that does lead to the 'it's not my fault, my brain chemistry/drugs/Marilyn Manson/Playstation made me do it' argument, which strikes me as another method of attempting to escape responsibility for personal actions. Sometimes it might be true, but people still have their own brain and in most cases will know right from wrong. It's still their decision to act on things that they know are wrong, even if this is only due to weak will-power not letting them resist. When it gets to a question of will-power I think people need to take responsibility. If they really can't tell right from wrong then that is a real problem, but if they can and choose to ignore it then that's their fault.
Sorry... That went rather off-topic!

If love is just the general love feeling for friends family and your partner then that makes sense. Relationships that are only about sex seem to fizzle out over a few weeks (or so I am told anyway) whereas ones only about love but no sex can last forever. So again love seems to be the stronger. Also if your lover left you but you didn't love him you'd be hurt and angry but you wouldn't feel the same dispair as someone whose percieved soulmate has just left them for somewone else.
It makes sense too that they overlap because physical actions helpt to reinforce love, and physical intercourse with another is often taken to be a betrayel of that same love.

Acctualy, if one of those parts of the brain were to just...be dammaged or something simular to that. The brain has been known to create new areas for parts that were damaged because of an accident or somesuch.
As for the artical, I'm acctualy glad that they proved them to be differant. But the sad thing is that you know someone is going to creat some sort of portable scanner so they might scan their loved one's brain to see just how much the other loves them. And that people will base their relationships off of just that.
Now, on to more depressing news, Elvis was seen dancing nakid in the moonlight.
