Long

Short
I hacked a lot of locks off because I was getting fed up with it getting matted. I like the new, short look. It's easier to manage, and it's a change. Fella didn't want me to cut it, but I think he'll like it short.
I'm very impressed with my cutting skills. 1 mirror, 1 pair of flower scissors. It's even, I don't look like an elf (once I cut it so there were long bits either side of my ear, but nothing covering the actual ear).
Anyways, what do you think?

I like! You look great either way, obviously, but the new haircut is cute and suits you well. And my hair isn't even that long, and I'm trying to grow it longer, but I'm still tempted to cut it. It can be bothersome.

Aww shuks *blushes*. Thanks me dears. I do think short = cuter too

Sadly P@, I won't be comming to the Nottingham meet

, but I wil be in Glasgow?
arachnidoc17, you can actually wash dreadlocks. I let my hair get quite gressy too compared to white people's hair anyways, infact I put grease in. If I didn't it'd be dry and brittle. 0o

I think you have lovely hair in it's own right (I've allways likes that kind of curl:wub: ).
I personally think that once I get around the pics short is cuter and probably easier to take care of, the long looks like at lot of conditioner would be required to stop it turning into a tangled mess.

I dig the short. ^.^

I prefer the short cut. It might have less retro-funk, but it really opens out your face and that works well for you. For some people, their most interesting feature is their hair. You've got an expressive face so it works well to show it!

Hard to tell from the pics but I think it looked better long, still looks good though.
Also you have done a good job cutting your own hair, most people I know who try that end up in a right mess.

Thanks

I've always thought I had quite an animated face, so I guess it makes sense.
This is actually the first time I have cut my hair on my own and not needed to ask some one to even it out. But in saying that, if my hair was straight It'd look poo. Once I cut my hair whilst it was wet and curly (as I always do). A few days later I decided to straighten it. I had a mullet. I kid you not. It was aweful! lol Hopefully when I try this time (when I find the straighteners), it wont be a mullet

That's pretty much the opposite effect for me, nothing really happens when my hair is clean, but when it gets greasy (which is every morning) the locks stick together and it looks very unkempt. I'm just getting a buzz.
...Yes, you are a lot better off having it short, I could imagine what a nusiance it would be if it were long.

A buzz?
arachnidoc17
Jun 12 2005, 09:23 PM
A buzz-cut. Kind of like a crew cut (standard U.S. Army hair cut), but it's the same length all around.
I'm getting mine to be a third of an inch.

, Snuggs ,I choped off all the ratty ends too, so yeah it's still soft, in fact softer. Like a baby's bum, but hairy. Kinda like a soft haired baby's bum.
I never seen a hairy baby's bum I dont think, I'm thinking it'd be soft haired though.

With long hair you've got a retro afro thing, but it covers your face in a glowing fuzzy hairy veil.
the new short hair is the SMEX! It's all sproingy and soft at the same time, and it looks a though if you really wanted to you could join some elite undercover fighting squad. Of death. And good hair. Hmm.. on second thought that just might be the khaki t shirt that's giving me the elite fighting squad of death vibe.
Either way, its all good.

The wife has a veto on all my arse-feeling exploits these days, especially where primates are concerned. Subject to her approval, absolutely.
See you in August (by which time your chimp's arse may be significantly chimpier)

You have lovely hair either way, although the short brings out your eyes. And short hair is SO much nicer in the summer--not all hot and stuff--, especially when it's curly. Curly hair goes mad in the summer.

I'm a fan of the bigger hair, myself for whatever it's worth. However, I understand the practicality of the shorter hair so I'd recommend growing it in the winter mayhaps?

THAT! THAT is what I want in my life. Many moons ago, I had a mohawk and spiked it with cheapo gel--at the end of the day it sort of fizzled and when I ran my fingers through my hair it stopped being crunchy BUT the hair stayed up, happily defying gravity in a soft, faintly curly mohawk. and then the company stopped making the crappy gel and I never figured out how to duplicate it.
You have that dream hair, darlin'. With a touch of Morrisey. It looks awesome, you are rocking it out. YAY hair

Did have one side shaved, and the other short over Christmas, the middle was straight. But I prefer the curly-stands-up-on-it's-own-don't-need-no-gel-curly-mohawk.

One of the main incentives for my scalp cutting a-go-go earlier this year was so that I can have a mohawk

Hopefully it will be possible in a few more months. I've got new stubble on my head now!

New year, new hair.
Have spent the last year an a bit growing out the mowhawk, and now for something a bit brighter!

Ginger, then

I had wanted it pinker, but hoping it will rinse out to a pinky colour.
