I like to write, so if I publish a book titled "101 Tales of Psych Otic" Written by Psych Otic, would you buy it?
little_bear
I said "No", because you told me to say "Yes". I'm sorry!

*weeps*

I said maybe because it depends on the money in my purse and the price of the book.
CheeseMoose
Maybe, depends what it was, sounds like some sort of short stories or poetry thing yeah?
MrTeapot
No. Purely because other than the title, you haven't told me anything about it.
Jimmy-von-Lucidious
Yes I think I'd like to read this book, particularly if it were a hundred and one short stories and poems.
Marriegold
Maybe because I don't achtuly know what it was about.
Astarael
Do mention the subject and the genre and I'll think about it. Life is too short to read lame books, so I want to know more about it before I decide.
Hobbes
We need a synopsis, or a sample, or just a darn clue as to what the heck its about biggrin.gif

Then we can make more informed decisions.

I said maybe as my brain doesn't like the word Psych on its own. Even with an Otic after it...

Also it would depend what it was about, how much it was, and what colour the cover was and if it was a hardback or soft back (I have a thing for old red hardbacks with gold lettering...)

Oooh! I just got the name joke! Thanks for saying that. I just thought it was someone whos parents hated them when they were named!
Astarael
Even if it was, it's still not as bad as the poor twins named Lemonjello (leh-mahn-jell-o) and Oranjello (aw-rawn-jello).
[/useless information]

Or the people called things like Beverly Bevan, Doris Horace etc etc

Mental Debate is going on about this. Originally it was ment to be a collection of short stories. I'm thinking of just changing it to Psych Otic. If so its gonna be about a guy who gets into a world of trouble over a mistaken identity. He pretends to be a famous ninja (Ashida Kim) and Goerge Bush sends him on a mission. Then the real Kim sends his ninjas to capture him for questioning. I'm gonna have to fit it his battles with Satan somewhere, too. Sound cool?

Have you ever read Good Omens by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman? You sound exactly like, and this isn't an insult, Adam Young from that book, as he discusses the book he wrote.

In answer to your question, I may well read a book like that. If you make it deep enough and meaningful then yeah, go for it.
Jonman
By the title, it sounds like there would be nowhere near enough spaceships, deadly space virii or 3 breasted alien nymphettes for my liking.
{Gothic Angel}
I don't know. If it makes its way to the back of the shop under a pile of obscure non-selling books, has a pretty cover to catch my eye, and looks like it has an interesting plot from the blurb...

Maybe.
