WHen I last saw My Own Sin, I had about a gallon of spray-in green crap covering all the hair on the left side of my head. My Own Sin's coming to town next friday and this time I want to dye my hair in the same manner, except red this time. The thing is, I don't want to use the spray-in crap (it runs and comes off) and I don't want to have to bleach and perminantly dye my hair. Is there any semi-perminant crap that could cover my hair? Bear in mind, I have really dark hair. If worst comes to worse, I'll just use colored gel and spray-in crap. Any tips/pointers/suggestions?

You're screwed. Seeing as I've dyed my hair every colour under the rainbow, I do know what I'm on about. I reccomend bleaching it and dying it and then using a shampoo that'll strip down to the roots and dying it black again, if you want it out quick. But that's a lot of work. Gels are very good, but they don't often show up on dark hair. Your best bet is a lot of conditioner beforehand, light spray, and a lot of conditioner afterwards.

Sugar Free Jello works well to dye hair, though it takes a few days to fade

Will it cover dark hair?

As far as I know it does if you use a lot of it.

there is chunking stuff that doesnt require bleacing. It has the big word chunking somewhere on the front of it. It does give you the nice fire engine red colour, but it is permanent.

Otherwise your just gunna have to go for something like ICE. It does cost a bit more but you dont tend to get run off. Oh and I should tell you it's usually only caried by hair salons.

I think I found what you were talking about, oobunnie. I got it at a hair-care shop here in town and it's made to cover dark hair. IT should kick ass. I'll take some pics.

I've seen people use Ice before, looks pretty awesome happy.gif
I know theres some permanent stuff that doesnt require bleaching but I forgot the name so that doesnt help you much....

Have fun happy.gif

So yeah, it's dyed now. As soon as I can, I'll put pics up.

What is this amazing stuff? For the summer holidays I bleached the bottom of my hair blonde then dyed it semi-permanent blue. Problem was that it was semi-permanent. For half of my holiday I had green hair. We dyed it over for school. Unfortunately mum missed some of it when she dyed over my hair again. I went back to school and everyone was asking why I had green hair. So if there is a cure for this I can go another colour for the christmas holidays.

Go to any haircare place and ask for perminant dye. It's easy for you since you bleach. It's a bit more complicated for me.

Any time you dye your hair by bleaching you'll get fading. If you spend more to get the better products it will take more time to fade, but will still do the same. It's sort of like dying your hair really dark after it's been bleached, the colour will still run out as you shampoo.
I have this stuff called schwarzkopf (Igora) It has great colours, and a little brush on the end of it so touch ups are really easy.
