Woo.. finally got around to the movie based on the final fantasy 7 game.

Just to say this isn't to be confused with final fantasy spirited away.. that horrible horrible movie a few years back.

I'm talking about the one set 2 years after final fantasy 7 (the best final fantasy game in my opinion) and weee.. I'm so happy, it was so much fun to watch. Whether or not that's the nostalgia thing I have for ff7 or just the fact that it was just so exciting and buzzing to watch I don't know.

But it definately gets my thumbs up!

Oooh, I loved it biggrin.gif Not much plot to speak of, but some of the most amazing fight scenes I've ever seen. Quite wonderful.
Sir Psycho Sexy
I saw it a good few weeks ago now, but it's a mightly fine movie, would make more sense if I'd played the game through properly, but it was fairly well explained. The only problem for me was that I missed a lot of the subtitles because they were so quick...I was quite drunk at the time. I was bouncing when Barrett and the rest of them showed up. tongue.gif
Mata
How viewable is it for someone like myself, who played through the game but doesn't remember much about it (except for the obvious death and the fact that it was really very good indeed)?
MrTeapot
Coming from one who does not own a console, and never has. FF7 the film was pretty damn spunky, I vaguely knew that there was a character called Cloud and so I was fine.

*MrTeapot's stamp of approval*

It's deffinitely a film for the fans, but anyone can watch it an enjoy it.
The fight scenes make Dave happy all over.
Oh yes they do.

Mmmmmm... Tifa...

Must be a generalised thing with us daves then... mmm, yuffie...

Also, the movie was good too. From a technical standpoint alone you should love it, Mata, since you're an "animatorer". Aside from that the storyline's links to the game are fairly easily ignored. You should at least have seen the ending, but it sort of explains all of that in the intro to the movie, so no worries there. Personally I'm more concerned about going to see Serenity on Fridyah, and not having seen any of Firefly at all...
