Ok.. so I have recently finished watching the entire Chobits anime.
... I liked it... I don't know why!

The animation style was great.. but other than that.. I cannot see why I liked it.
The storyline was soppy.. The characters were overly cutesy, even the ending made me want to puke with the soppy cutesyness. It was so unbearable with the 50 doses of puppy dog eyes per episode!

Why oh why did i like it? I cannot contemplate it...

I think I need help...

Any suggestions?

I liked Chobits... and it isn't all kawaii-cute, it gets very, very dark in places, which gives it depth. But the ending is toothache sweet, though, I suppose.

Visual crack cocaine. That's all I've got.

But when I watch/read things, sometimes I set standards for myself in my head for what I think I enjoy and what I don't. I often prove myself wrong, and then say "Hey, I don't usually enjoy this stuff, what's wrong with me?" So maybe it's something like that?
