Hehe, I love the design

I hope I can get some money, perhaps from the holidays (since I have to spend for other people's presents!) so perhaps I can purchase it and maybe another LGG tee to boot.

are you going to have mittens work shirts?
oooo fruit of the loom!
Mata

No, unfortunately the workshirts were made only by Blue Banana. I'm going to see if I can source out some more, but I highly doubt that it will be possible.

I am really digging these designs, especially the leaping mittens one. Great stuff.
Are you going to make Mittens mittens? Because that would be-

3 cheers for irony!

Ooh! *writes the leaping Mittens shirt on Christmas list* What does it say next to the pawprint under where it says Matazone? Is that my monitor acting up or some tiny line of amusing text? *ponders*
Mata

That's just the '© Matazone.com' bit to attempt to deter people from copying them. Given that it costs a small fortune to get professional transfer prints made I certainly hope people don't copy them because I don't like the idea of badly made copies going around.
I own the .com address as well as the .co.uk so I thought it might be a bit more internationally minded of me to put it on the T-shirts, plus it's slightly smaller than .co.uk so less intrusive.

Sounds like a good idea to me. They're your shirt designs, and a little line of text isn't going to intrude, especially not in the world of "Limited Too" written in sparkly letters three inches high across the chest of every shirt. *scowls* I refuse to be a billboard for anything but Matazone, DragonCon, or my favorite movies.

Dont forget Abercrombie, Hollister, American Eagle Outfitters, Nike, Adidas and many many other brands that print their logo/name all over their products.
I'm ready to pounce on the store once Mata gets his credit card facilities up and running! Ahh how I love having money.... for now

In Britain the prime offenders for that sort of thing are French Connection with their amusing-for-two-seconds-the-first-time-you-saw-them-ten-years-ago FCUK designs and Morgan (who have a habit of putting a repeat print of their name on products).

Not many people wear FCUK stuff here, mostly because its out of our price range. Theres a store near DC and other than that I havent really seen any of their stuff anywhere. I've never heard of Morgan, though. It seems as though most established companies like to tag their name on everything they make, though.

The mittens T-shirts are fantastic! Plus you just managed to turn my mum into a mittens fan in one swift move and she hasn't even looked at the animations yet. Consider me impressed.

I find it unfair that I'm not an adult when I'm a mature sixteen-year-old and my uncle gets to be an adult when he acts like a bratty toddler. *shakes head* The wonders of generalization at work, I suppose.

Hurrah!
Well, Bank Of Scotland (also known as Halifax) are officially the slowest and least efficient bank I've ever dealt with. The majority of the branch staff appear to be unprofessional muppets and their Internet Merchant account people are incapable of controlling their own paperwork or doing anything that they say they will. They don't even know what all the options on their application forms mean. Grr! Due to this, I'm still waiting to get the credit card facilities running. I hope I don't now have to wait until the end of the weekend.

The quality of the image on the t-shirt is fab! I like it very much, even though I spent all of yesterday trying to tell my family that it is a cat and not one of the many odd animal-hybrids they came up with.

Edit: And it went through the washing machine well too

Do you like the new little shop adverts next to the animations? They only play once when you load the page so they shouldn't be too annoying hopefully, but I'm not getting many people going to the shop so I figured it needed a higher profile!

Mata, are you going to do long sleeve in the Mittens tee-shirts?.
Mata
Dec 5 2005, 01:22 PM
Tricky. Last time I ran my shop I ended up with a huge pile of boxes, equalling thousands of pounds of my money sitting in my office, getting in the way. Currently all that space is taken up with the Blue Banana stock, but once that's gone I really don't want to get back to that over-stocked stage again, which is what happens when I try to cover all of the clothing options. Even to get two types of T-shirts in two designs covered with a fairly low stock I've got two large boxes full of T-shirts! I could probably get a one-off made for you though, drop me a line about what you'd like.

The shop will be running for the foreseeable future, but may close again eventually. It really depends on whether I can work out a more efficient way of funding myself.
Speaking of things that are 'broke', you might want to try using the shift key on your keyboard and a bit of punctuation. It makes posts far easier to read, so it's really just a display of politeness and respect to the people you expect to spend their time looking at what you have written, and it is part of the rules of the forum that you agreed to when you joined up. Here they are again in case you've forgotten them:

$23.93 for a T-shirt... I doubt that I'll be able to convince someone to buy that for me

That's UK prices for you. I can't really drop it much more than that and still be able to make anything approaching a reasonable living.
I've just updated the exchange rate in the hope that it might give you a better deal, but the dollar has slipped again and so now things cost 40c more. Sorry!
