Ok so i play WoW (World of Warcraft). There are a few movies out there, some good and some bad. But this made me laugh. Slightly adult in humour.

Aye spawned alot of idiots thinking they were awesome. Pity it is staged, if anyone ever said those things on a TS server i was on, i'd most proberly snort beer all over my keyboard.

It's spawned a new phrase. If you get ganked by a mob in a game you have been "Leeroyed".

Yeah, I heard about it a few weeks ago on someone's LiveJournal link of the day. I'm partial to this Chobits version. There's some innuendo, but nothing explicit. Good Leeory video, by the way. It was really funny.

For some reason i just enjoy the song, really entertaining. That movie was quiet funny, and for manga could have been worse.

Guild Wars honoured Leeroy with an NPC with the similar name of Killroy Stoneskin. He had a shout (of the same name) which allowed you to run about in a similar manner.

Thing is that video was set up, for a raid guild like that to wipe in that place, they must have been very lucky to get the gear they got.

The main thing that gives it away is the guy filming it runs behind the eggs, and up the ramp, aggroing all the guards up there, then drops down to die, knowing full well the mobs will give chase. Not just that their warlock would have Soulstoned a priest/paladin, so they can ressurect once aggro resets.

Funny film but staged, and people sit down thinking it's real. The worst thing is being in a raid group with some idiot that does it ... But then i'm a pally i jus bubble and run

The really strange thing is that it makes almost no sense to non-players of the game and players will all realise it's faked. It's a bit of a mystery how it got so popular.

I don't play the game, but I got a kick out of it... didn't know it was fake, though.

Never fear, I have a friend who gets irritated by that very anime/manga point. She's very into both, and her manga books fill four or five shelves. She's trying to improve her Japanese, so she buys the manga in Japanese, then translates it on little bits of Post-it notes over the speech bubbles. You're not alone in the geekiness.

I think it might have something to do with the fact it appeared on the American TV show Jeopardy (What seems to be their rubbish equivalent of Countdown):

That's brilliant. Just goes to show you how desperate the question writers can get sometimes, I suppose. And Jeopardy is indeed rubbish. The only people I know who watch it are my retired grandparents and a few people at the local nursing home. You've got to be very bored to get into it.

My cousin makes videos like that on Halo 2 on Xboxlive. They are actually suprisingly good, he's done Rocking Around the Christmas Tree, Way to Amarillo (Yes, I know everyone's done that) and another song I can't remember.
