I read the following under the thread pinned you do not have permission in the introductions forum:

"Anyway, a new rule has been put in place for recently-joined members that means that, until a they have posted 40 times in existing threads, they cannot create their own topics in the most popular forums. There are forums in which new members can immediately create their own threads, such as Introductions, Personal Concerns, and Creations, but others are restricted until you've joined in with more conversations and got to know the posting style better."

However, I get the “you do not have permission” message in the Personal Concerns forum?

Is Introductions the only forum where newbies can post until after the 40 replies?

I have replied to a few threads ... so far ... though not even close to 40 yet ...

Thanks,

Oh, sorry about that. I'll poke the guy who knows about the settings when I see him tonight (Mr Fuzzy). It should be sorted out soon.

You should be able to join in (post on) any thread that's going. You just can't start your own new thread in the forum (except those parts mentioned) until you've posted 40 times.

Clearer or still clear like mud?

OK... though Personal Concerns is listed as being one of the places where newbs can immediately post new threads.

We're working on it!

EDIT: Okay, I've found the setting. New members should be able to start topics in there now.
