I started looking at The Other Side on Wayback Machine (linky) and it's pretty interesting seeing how the site has changed, and seeing the stuff that isn't there anymore, like the FAQ And looking at how the forums were before I joined. You were a strange lot.

It went from this, to this in just 4 and a bit years.

Ahh.... I remember the FAQ.... That was my favorite bit for a while, so entertaining

I remember when the main page (well it wasn't the main page then) was just a list of animations.. and general chat!

I love the FAQs. Some of them are quite funny. The site has really come a long way since that little cluster of links. Hurray for Mata's progress!

Yep, I know a lot more about coding since then! I've upped the level of professionalism in the presentation, but I've had to decrease the amount of content. I've currently got a full-time job which means I've hardly got any time to work on my own projects, which is very sad. I used to release a new animation every two weeks! I gave up on that when the Little Goth Girl animations started taking more than a month to make.

I remember when there was just a link to the first and second Mittens animations! I almost had forgotten what the page looked like.

I remember getting hooked via Samurai Lapin. I also remember militantly checking the site thinking, "Is there another Lapin? Dammit."

Yep Ri, things are a lot easier now I have a mailing list and various other bits and bobs around to keep people updated with.

I read the "About the Animations" forum more often than I check my e-mail, so I'm usually one step ahead of the mailing list.

Back in those days there wasn't a forum either. The internet was a sad and lonely place...

I was hopelessly corrupted after a week in public middle school. In terms of swearwords, flithy slang, and dirty jokes learned, middle school definitely takes the cake. I still imagine burning wretched cockaroach-infested pit to put myself in a better mood.
