My ruler is currently MIA (I believe it snuck down to Tijuana for an extended vacation after I used it to measure naughty things a few months ago), but eyeballing my leg both Randy and I agree that my leg hair is approximately 1 cm long. So I am henceforth defeated by Lolo the Mighty.

It's gotta be the moddy pants that did it. Just look at Fuzzy. :: noddles ::
Phyllis
My leg hair is about the same length as Lo's. Since Froggy dropped out ( sad.gif ) I guess I automatically win the armpit part of it.

Lo will be at my house this weekend. We can compare...
oobunnie
I give you guys mad props. I'm an obsesive waxer. I just can't stand the feeling of being hairy. I never met any guys who like the shave their pits. You lot should tell the world. You hear me, the world!

My dad just started to, which is kind of weird, but not too disturbing.
Ashbless
Shorts weather so didn't even consider joining. I agree with Oobunnie as I've never met a guy concerned about his pit hair. I wonder if it's a Canadian man thing. huh.gif
Usurper MrTeapot
I've never met a man anywhere who shaves his pits. I have been told "it is long but its okay as you are a man" so ner.
Mata
Yes you have. I shave my armpits and have done for about ten years. I find I sweat less, which is nice, and I think it looks better too. I trimmed before that, but shaving's so much more convenient than trying to keep things just the right length!
LoLo
I just noticed this thread was called "The Leg & Armpit Growing Competition" .... wow how do you grow extra legs and armpits?

Maybe it's more along the lines of growing extra large armpits and legs? I'm sure that would be easier than growing extras.
LoLo
Anyone interested in doing this again? lol
Cath Sparrow
Your a bad bad person Lo! tongue.gif

I'll join in again. smile.gif

(And then curse you all when the itching begins)

Having said that... i don't think there are blades strong enough to cut through my existing hair.

The trick is running something like a beard or mustache trimmer or an electric razor across first, then coming back and cleaning it up with a regular razor.

Should we wait a few days before the shaving to see who all is in?

I also want to state that I don't want to participate in the armpit hair growing part...growing armpit hair out is painful.
LoLo
Want to shave tomorrow morning and then come back in 4 weeks (Christmas Eve) to see what the results are and who the winner is?
mooooooooooopo
Or at some point tomorrow?

Sounds fine by me. smile.gif

Pssst... moop... I've thought of a way you can cheat...

When you shave off the existing hair, keep it safe in a bag somewhere, then when the day comes to assess the new hair growth, glue each 'old' hair to each individual 'new' hair, thus increasing the length!

Pretty clever, huh?

Don't u-no it, eh?

I'm pleased to report that my leghair has been eradicated. I can post pictures if necessary.

I have an awesome steel ruler this year. My measurement will be precise. No annoying bevel on the end. biggrin.gif

Yes. Moop leg photos ARE necessary.

Does it have a quark backing to it? I love steel rulers with cork backings and have far too many of them myself. They don't move when you cut things! Not that you're going to be cutting your legs...

Ok that's far too much of the ruler love.

But what about a finger grip?

You don't need a finger grip if you have a cork backing, but if you really are desperate for one, there is usually a hole on one end that you can stick your finger in.
mooooooooooopo
I have one with and one without a cork backing. They each have their niche. Gotta be prepared and all.

Awh. I should've joined in on this. I suppose I still could, though I'd have a five day dissadvantage.

Edit: after posting this, I realised that I only shaved my lower legs today. Will Thigh hair suffice?

I think whatever leg hair you want is fine. moop just did a small section of his calve. So you shave first, then see how long it is in 4 weeks.
LoLo
For the heck of it, I measured to see how the growth is going and it's standing at 2 mm.
voices_in_my_head
Hmm, well in that case, I shall grow a small patch, and just return my results five days later...I haven't gotten around to shaving my legs since then...
LoLo
I took far too many pictures but couldn't manage to get the right combination of focus and angle. This is the best of the batch though. This picture makes it look like 1 cm, but it's actually just 8 mm growth.

Phyllis
Ooh, you're tied with Ste, Lo. He also had 8mm of growth.
Cath Sparrow
I only got 6mm but you both had an extra day on me. tongue.gif

mooooooooooopo
Here is my growth.
