I started making a website yesterday, and some of it is finished now. So, if any of you guys want to visit it the URL is www.idiotworld.angelcities.com.Tell me what you think. There's a poll in the"Site News" forum. Eventually there will be some animations on it and some clips, but not yet. Oh, and it doesn't *offically* launch until New Year's Day, but you can still do stuff on it.

It's been a while since I built a forum, but have you considered not having a seperate group for each board? And the "DO NOT CREATE A TOPIC HERE! But click to get back to the main site." seems pretty redundant. But other than that yeah, it's a forum.

and the blog seems to have disappeared.

Put it in the descriptiony bit at the top. I haven't done admining that specific board template before, but if you gave me root, I'm sure I could work something out.

Assuming that the phpbb files are stored in the same manner, you should be able to do that by editting the template file (.tpl) called overall_header which is in the /templates/SubSilver directory. Unless you want something more obvious, you'll need to insert something along the lines of:



into the appropriate place. The code for the rest of the links below the title is towards the bottom of the file, if that's where you want to put it.

To "give me root" or "make me root" would be to make me the highest level admin, able to fix, build or alter any part of the forums. On a forum such as that, root access would be held by the first member (ie. you).

I'm not sure an ordinary admin account would have enough access to alter the site backgrounds and text and such, but I'm not sure as I haven't admined on that forum template.

Okay, I'll make an account on your forum, and you make me an admin, and I shall see what I can do. If I do need root, which is possible, then I'll have to use your account, or tell you what to do, 'cos you usually can't transfer root status.

As far as I'm aware, access to the Admin panel doesn't allow you to add additional links under the title. It allows you to install mods to the site, but not directly edit things other than the actual forums themselves, assuming I haven't missed something. In order to change the template file, you will need access to the file manager, which isn't grantable through the forums.

To make this less spammy, I think the site is fun but I found it a little difficult to navigate. Hopefully CM's help will sort that.

After looking around I stuck a link in one of the board descriptions, as it was the only place I could find to put one. Anyone got a better idea?

I'd still vote for manually altering the template. I'm presuming here, Izzy, that myfastforum.org provide you with some link that allows you to look directly at the files that make up the forum. If not, then screw this idea.

If I understand the problem correctly the file you'll want to edit is index_body.tpl
to do this log into the admin panel, choose edit template, you'll have to make a copy of the Darkness theme, edit the copy

the line you want to edit is:

You'll want to add the link right after {L_INDEX}</a>

Don't forget to add the class="nav" to make it look the same as the other text to make sure this is what you were looking to do check http://knighthood.no-ip.com/forums/ if the "Tales of the Ghost Regiment" is where you were thinking to put it then this is what you want to do.
