There are some really emotional songs out there that can help/cause someone shed a tear. What are yours?
I have a few. Pearl Jam's "Jeremy" and their cover of "Last Kiss" have made me cry (especially "Last Kiss"). Cold's "Sad Happy" has made me cry a few times. There was a time when for some reason, I couldn't go through Live's "Lightning Crashes" without weeping. When I have to cry but can't, I put on "Epiphany" by Staind (any Staind album will suffice, but that song gets me). "Carry On" by Burn Season made me cry literally once or twice (EDIT: make that three times and probably everytime I listen to it from now on). Hell, there was a time when I couldn't cry without listening to "Eva" by Orgy.
I sound so gay.
Anyway, how about y'all?

I can't say I've cried about a song, there have been a few that made me feel sad though, like Fred Jones part 2 (Ben Folds) and I think another one by Ben. There have been a few, but I'm not to good with song names.

Generally songs don't make me cry, in fact I don't think I've ever cried purely because of the music I was listening to... except maybe Puff The Magic Dragon >.>
Sure music can provoke emotion, but not enough to get my tear ducts working

I have never cried simply because of a song. I was very near tears the very first time I was played Clair de Lune - Debussy by my piano teacher and I once cried and cried whilst listening to Twisted Logic - Coldplay, but that was more because I was upset already.

For me, songs tend to remind me of various events or situations, so there are some at which I cry, not because of the song, but because of what it reminds me of.
Ones I can think of:
Brighter Side - OPM
Angel - Jimi Hendrix
Only Women Bleed - Alice Cooper
Heroes - David Bowie
Red White and Blue - Judas Priest
there's probably more.

I never said there had to be a particular reason. SOme have been situational, like when I feel particularly low at one point. "Carry On" makes me think of my friend/surrogate brother Tim and I remember listening to Cold's "A Different Kind of Pain" shortly after a breakup and weeping in the parking lot at a beach access.
HIM can move me to tears, but only post-breakup.

Butterfly Kisses - Bob Carlisle
Dance With my Father - Luther Vandross
There are a bunch more that can do it depending on how upset I am, but those two make me cry just about every time.

First of all - I love love LOVE Pearl Jam's cover of Last Kiss. Good stuff.
I don't think a song has ever made me cry, but the only one I can think of that gets me anywhere close to it is Little House by The Fray. Into the Ocean by Blue October is a pretty good one too, although I wouldn't quite say that it would make me cry.

Hear You Me- Jimmy Eat World
The Killing Moon- Echo and the Bunnymen
Don't You (Forget About Me)- Simple Minds
Lullaby- The Cure
Porcelain- RHCP
Clocks- Coldplay
Clair De Lune- Debussy
There are so many songs that make me cry, I would be here all night if I listed them all. The above are just some that came to my mind straight away- all of them are for different reasons- Clair De Lune only makes me cry when my friend plays it on the piano to me. Killing Moon is the only one which is not linked to a memory (or I have forgotten it).
*shrugs* I cry far more than is really necessary.

Music only really gets to me in emo moods when it reminds me of something. Driftwood by Travis is like the soundtrack to my teenage years, though. Every time I'm down, it makes me happy in a teary kind of way.

I'm not Emo, I just cry all the time.
CRYING TO JIMMY EAT WORLD IS NOT EMO. IT IS NOT.

I always feel rather emotional when listening to Hear You Me by Jimmy Eat World. It kinda reminds me of some close friends of mine that have died. Infact on Saturday, it'll be the one year anniversary of a friend of mine who died from Cancer. Hear You Me reminds me of her.

Um... I think Brahms might have done it once. And the first time I listened to Dvorak 9 all the way through. And the one time I saw Rimsky-Korsakoff's "Scherazade" performed live. I think that's it, though.
There are a couple songs that do get my pretty sad and if I were to listen to them in a fragile state, they could push me over the edge... "War on Drugs" and "What a Good Boy" by the Barenaked Ladies are on that list. I'd wager that "Let it Be" could do it, too, given the right circumstances. And "No Woman No Cry" by Bob Marley or Sublime. Either one's good.

It reminds me of my Granpa.
I would also like to add
First Day Of My Life by The Bright Eyes
and
Tunnels by The Arcade Fire.

Ya, I have never really cried because of a song, but some songs that make me sad are...
"Asthenia" by Blink 182-becuz I listened to it (and was crying) after something happened between me and my first ever true love.

"Love Hurts"-becuz that same guy sang it to me once.

Sad, isn't it?!? (In more than one way!)

It's okay to cry a lot, Daria! It doesn't mean you're emo! You just get all those emotions out of your body and whatnot. Much healthier than holding it all in. I used to hold stuff in and I hardly cried, but I feel much better now that I cry a lot and don't hold it in. *nod*
Anyway, on topic, Radiohead - A Reminder welled me up on the first listen, and several other of their songs can do so as well (like the one syuu said). Pigs on the Wing and Dogs by Pink Floyd, and sometimes Wish You Were Here by them as well... like Daria said, so many to list. The biggie has to be listening to A Silver Mt. Zion, though. They make beautiful music, but it's so very heart-rending that I could be perfectly happy and listen to one of their songs and be crying a few minutes into it. Very powerful.

Totally! Mostly, I would have to say songs from their
Born Into Trouble As The Sparks Fly Upwards album.
Redemption Songs by Bob Marley and
Trois Gymnopedie by Erik Satie. Also, there is a song I heard on the radio a couple of years back by Tupac Shakur though I can't remember which song of his it was, it just took me and I welled up in the middle of rush hour at an incredibly busy train concourse.
