So we're currently standing at about 6 then. Boo! Cath! we will miss you. Come on peple, Woking has soooo much to offer... No really it does!!!! Honest!!! We have Bowling, Lazer Quest, Chav Bashing (well imaginary Chav Bashing! My Mum will be a working PCSO by then and I don't want my mummy to tell my friends off!) Drinking in many pubs, eating in various food outlets- we may even have a Nando's by then! There is an Arcade (frequented by my students but I really want to see the looks on their faces- Miss Foster has FRIENDS!!!) A shopping mall, a shop that sells random TV memorabilia, 2, I repeat 2 Waterstones!!!! What more could you ask for!?!

I am potentially coming! I need to work out my schedule and figure out moneys, but there's a chance I'll be making an appearance. For now I won't confirm it completely, not even close. It's about 45% right now.

Feb 16 2008, 04:48 PM
It would be lovely to see you if you can.
This meet is right next door to London, so I expect there may be a few last minute additions to these numbers!

Feb 16 2008, 08:25 PM
It fits my schedule fine, I just have to see if I can get work off and buy a ticket

I'm going to scratch that.
Sorry folks, I have the issue of "I haven't gotten around to getting my passport since I turned 18" I would be looking at 3 weeks from tomorrow until it would arrive if I did expedited. That means the 10th, therefore I wouldn't make the meet.
There's the possibility I might still come to the UK, it just won't be for the meet.
Mata
Feb 16 2008, 09:36 PM
Yay! I look forward to meeting you Spoon

Mar 2 2008, 01:26 PM
This is happening next Saturday so I thought I'd bump the thread.
Spoon - let us know when you're around. If you can be in London on a weekend (or even not on a weekend, but that would be more tricky) then I'm sure we can get together a few people for the evening.

Have we agreed a meeting time/place? How about 2pm at Woking train station? Ryn/Smiler, is there anywhere prominent that we should use as a meeting point?

I won't be coming, for reasons of money and work.

2pm is good. I would suggest that we meet outside the town side of the train station- 2 exits; 1 by platform 1 is the one you want.
Mata
Mar 5 2008, 10:41 PM
I'm sorry you won't be along Nov. I guess we'll just have to drink your share of the beer for you.
Oh, and... Yay! Froggy is coming!

Mar 6 2008, 01:37 AM
I am indeed.
If anyone else is traveling from London to the meet, do you fancy getting the train to (and back from) Woking together?
Smiler
Mar 6 2008, 05:26 PM
Just thought I'd let eveyone know the lay of the Woking land for meeting at 2ish.
The best meeting place will probably be under the canopy on the town side exit of the railway station. The town side is next to Platform 1 and the canopy is the massive white structure directly outside the station. It's all lanscaped concrete but it's a pretty open space that's under cover so if the elements attack we should be good for a while.
If the elements attack too much the first port of call will probably be a nice little haunt called the Station Pub. From the canopy, with your back to the station exit, veer to the right and go down Chertsey Rd. (Budgens will be on your right across the road, Recruitment Express to your left on the same side of the road). The Station Pub is on the left hand side of the road about 4/5 shops down. It's a lovely shade of dark glossy red.
If anyone wants phone numbers just PM Ryn or myself

YThank folks for a nice small meet. I'm kinda glad it was small as I tihnk the fella might of been evern quieter had the whole horde been there!
