I found it kind of odd that right after I made a Godzilla book cover, Mata posted that it's Godzilla week in trouble down pit. So I messaged him, and he wants to see the cover so here we go.



Now I ended up scrapping this cover and going with a different one that looks good, but I thought this one was really fun. It also was an inside joke for those who have watched me put my book together because Godzilla served as my placement photo for the actual pictures of my book before I drew them.

Anyone else have any cool Godzilla creations? He's fun to make photos with.

I took the picture of that lamp at the Natural History Museum in London. I wish I had one of those lamps too though, it's so cool!

What did the cover look like in the end?

Take the Godzilla stuff off, and that's the cover. I loved the Godzilla but when I took it off the typography just popped so much more.

I went through another variation with stuffed T-Rexes, but that was the worst of the three.

I got the book yesterday but I made a mistake in my design and all my pages are off by one so I had to pay to have it reprinted.

Damn, that must have been annoying!

I like the typography but the Godzilla pic really does dominate it. Good call.
