Oh wow.
That makes me so sad. I've the book of his called Napalm and Silly Putty, which is how I discovered his comedy.
RIP, George.
(Is this a bad time to mention that in above-stated book he said that when he dies he wants them to take his body and drop it from a plane randomly, and whereever it lands...to let it rot there?

he was one funny guy, they've been showing clips at the end of the Daily Show with Jon Stewart all week. Forgot how funny he was. Being primarilly shown in the states I'm not sure how many Brits will know who he was but it's a sad time.
