So over the last few days I have actually been inspired to make things, which has been a delightful change to previous months (so far, 2009 has been a bit shit-to put it lightly). Not only have I been making things, I also decided to set up an Etsy shop to sell my wares- so far there are only four items, but I am planning on adding to them. Shop can be found here!
Any critique, comments or ideas are welcome- especially with the prices. I found it really hard to decide on how much I should charge, especially as it's in dollars (the prices shown are after discussion with friends and coming to an average)!

Cute and unusual smile.gif I should imagine they'd be a great talking point and I reckon you'll pick up some sales from there. They may not be universally popular, but if you're the only person making them then you won't want to be inundated with orders or you'll kiss goodbye to any life you have. My mum used to make dolls in the mid 80's to make extra money, and they got so popular she couldn't keep up with demand and she gave it up.

I've seen similar things being sold in craft fairs and places like Afflecks Palace for around £5-£8, and I'd suspect they know their market, but those are mass-produced; the fact yours are hand-made should elevate the price a bit because the buyer is essentially getting a unique piece.

I'm shifting this to the "Creations" area, which is a more appropriate place for it.

Aww, they're really nice! I like the heart one the most, but the happy bat is cool too. There are probably goths out there who would be happy recipients of such things.

I'm sending one to a friend as a get-well-soon present biggrin.gif

These are so cute! The teal bat is probably my favorite.

Also, the prices seem just right, to me. It's enough money that you're not getting cheated out of anything but not so much that it's ridiculous.

The Beefy Bat is by-far my favorite. But they're really really cool/adorable. smile.gif

I like the Happy Bat, they're all really well-made. biggrin.gif I'm sure you'll be making a profit soon, people are always looking for unique items that not everyone has or know about.
