mostly because i'm so sick of people talking about it. look there was one damn cow. they now uselessly killed around 350 cows, and the international community is going to cause the slaughter of even more. this stupid ban on canadain beef is rediculous.
number of cows killed :350
werth of beef returned because of the ban: 24 million
mad cows found: yes it is still at that one damn cow
i really dont see the problem and i think the states is way over reacting (no offense to americans its only your goverment i dislike) the really should stop trying to hurt our economy i dont now what there beef is (no pun intended) but lay of. lets see sars yup that completelty under control. mad cow disease well were still at the one cow so drop it. and geez did we say anything when those cases of the neumonic plauge showed up in your country. no. and from the economic stand point. were your only suppliers of clean water and electricty, and your largest supplier of oil maybe its time to back off with the banning because it rather pointless and just angering alot of people. including me and i'm a pretty hard person to get mad. (please dont be offended by this i dont not dislike society, only the stupid things that are done in there name)

*sigh*

We had that same fiasco over here a few years ago. They wouldn't immunise cos it would render those cows "unsaleable". So instead we go on a mass bludgeonin excercise which renders all cattle "unsaleable". Oooh, very clever, Mr Straw! Prat... mad.gif
jicama
wow. that was full of rantie goodness!

you from alberta bunnie?
oobunnie
i am indeed from alberta.
jicama
yahi! i'm from saskatchewan! and everyone around here agrees- the beef ban is a stupid over reaction. probably their government's way of "teaching us a lesson" for not going to iraq.

where in alberta are you?
oobunnie

hm.... whenever we went outside at our school all you could smell was burning cows and pigs. my school is in the country) anyways it was gross.
talking to faeries
Yeah, it was the same with the foot and mouth dsease (I think thats whats it was called) breakout, was it a couple of years ago?...there was medicatin and stuff to treat it, but the government wouldn't do that cos it was too expensive, so instead they killed thousands if not millions of sheep all around Britain...RIDICULOUS!!!
hinsley
sheep cows and pigs... all animals with cloven feet.
oobunnie
i think its horrible that people can have no respect for animals. but part of my point is that this into break out. and until i dunno they atleast find a second cow that has it the shouldnt be treating it as such
Jaq
If the stupid farmer would have kept better track of his sales and not have fed his animals bone meal this would have never happened. Also I think the US is trying to get us back about not going into Iraq with them and this is the only way they can think of . Also the SARS thing. Yup. OKAy. I'm ranting now, but I agree with you oobunnie. Some of my relatives live in Edmonton. What side of the city do you live on?

be the way, did you know that it is vertually impossible to get mad cow disease from eating steak? you can only get it by consuming nerve tissue such as the brain and spine.
