Generally just hang around and wait for someone to adopt you, posting in this thread is a good start. Other than that, either PM someone who sounds nice or work it out for yourself.

To become an adopter just look for someone who wants to be adopted and adopt them. Then you have to answer any questions they have about stuff. Yeah

Hi, I think I'm in the wrong place it doesn't sound anything like the posts I read before I decided to log on and join you. I browsed a bit that was available and there was a discussion about Latin and the correct pronunciation of it and what it would sound like with different ethnic backgrounds so I thought someone may have the information I am looking for.

I am transcribing the church records of a small village in Germany and in the earlier records, 1560-1700 there is a lot of Latin. I bought a pocketbook size Latin/English dictionary and very seldom find a word in it that I need. I have found a couple of books in a Bibliography and tried to locate a copy on the Internet, preferably used, that I can buy but had no luck.

I understand that German church Latin was not a pure language and the book titled "Parish Register Latin" sounded interesting. The records I am reading are Lutheran but at that early time it was believed that Latin was the only language suitable for the educated man to write in. Does anyone have a suggestion?

If I am out of line please advise me and I will quietly drop out.
