well, i just thought, what does everyone believe in? i used to be a good ol lutherian but then i completely lost my faith, so now im on a quest to figure out what to believe, im also waiting to tell my parents, so i still go to church with them, but alas i dont believe. whats everyone else here?

I'm not voting for anything, because I am Christian by my own interpretation of the Bible, plus several other philosophies that aren't in the Bible at all (but are not contradictory). And then I I'm a gooroo of Kumukan on the side. Go see Kumukan for yourself. It's fun.

I guess I had to choose I'm a witch... I'm wiccan. One of those old pagan beliefs where you got called a witch for believing in. Well, some of the more deluded wiccans think they are witches. Oh well....

i dont believe in any mass marketed religion as they usually bite themselves on the ass, and contradict there own beliefs and they try to remove obvious facts from existance.

my religion take philosophy's of some religions not beliefs philosophy's all the books contain good ideas but you don't have to take them all, rip out the pages that don't make sence create your own book using scraps from the bible the tao the koran and the necrinomican. hell add some marx brother too it if the insight provides you with deeper understanding.

I'm with you No Name.. Wicca is the closest thing that relates to my perception of religion. I am against most forms of organized religion. As far back as it is told in my family the women have worshiped the earth, and used it to protect and heal us. I listened to my grandmother and my mom and learned there ways.. to that I added my own twist of philosophy, along with Buddhist influences, and there you have it... tricked out Buddhist root worker witch...

LoLoism, which I practice, does involve for me personally a lot of the views of Wicca, so I chose witch.

There is one teaching in LoLoism: Believe what you want to believe and don't push it on me.

Simple but fair.

I keep thinking of this part in Dogma where Chris rock is talking to the last Zion's character, where he says it's better to have an idea not beliefs. Idea's can be changed, but people die for their beliefs, and pull a lot of crazy shit because of them. i was born jewish and actually i just had my bat mitvzah is january. i never said i WANTED to be jewish. i never said i BELEIVED in the god crap. i tried to tell my parents before my bat mitzvah that i dont belive in god but they didnt listen to me and now when they finally do listen they say im just trying to get out of going to hebrew school. i shouldnt have to go to hebrew school anyway!!!!!!!!!!!!! they say it doesnt matter if i belive in god, im stuill jewish. officially im roman catholic. baptised, first communioned, confirmed and all that. now im in my last year of a compulsary re gcse. sigh. im not a catholic though. the more they make me study organised mass religion the more stupid i realise it is. i guess i jsut kinda..follow my conscience. i dont know about god and all that....and i wont till i die! thats the whole point...

i'm jatheist. i don't believe in the god of the bible, but i almost half believe that there is some sort of greater being that is in no way equal or similar to god. but i teach at my hebrew school because it's one of the few jobs that i can get at 14 that pays almost decetly (5$ per hour and 6$ per hour next year) and becuase i used it to get into a good hs

also, crazinesss, that sucks... i have yet to get into that, and i think i wont really have to since my parents are really quite good about letting me have belifs (well i mean ideas cuz i saw that part of dogma, [thats the only part really] and i really think thats a good way to think, but ill say belifs to just give that attachment of a higher thing) and so i think i wont get into that... that is very good for me and i realize that i am extremely lucky to have that

I'm an agnostic. A religious fence-sitter. I guess there must be some sort of higher summatorother but I've not figured it out yet.

I do believe that all living things are formed with energy (that life force thing) and like all energy it can't be created or destroyed, it just gets, er, "reallocated". Which is why there are fewer animals and trees but so many more humings...

I dont know what I believe. I have a tendency to research ancient religions, so Ive kind of adopted some of the principles of ancient babylon and egypt, as well as a confused jumbled mass of christianity and buddism and hindi. I believe in a higher being and all the jazz, but the practices of most religions irritate me beyond belief. Isnt it enough to believe? Why must we give up stuff for lent and pray and go to church? I believe in reincarnation, too, but that doesnt go with the idea of heaven and hell...Ah well. I'll figure it out eventually.

Mainly, though, I just hate my church. Its overly political. We had a sermon about "forgiving Clinton for his adulterous sins", for gods sakes. I mean, its not the place for politics.

I don't believe in organized religion as a whole. I believe there's something, though that something varies from person to person. I have not been in a church for almost 10 years now, and it's highly unlikely you'll find me in one any time soon.

blah i had to go to a bat mitzvah today jesus i was about to kill the rabbi. some of the stuff he said was so disgusting and cultish. he was talkign about purim, which is a jewish holiday which tells the story of ester, which is basicly this king dude wants a wife so he has a beauty contest and ester wins and shes jewish but he doesnt know that and then theres this whole part with heyman who is this evil advisor who wants to kill all the jews b/c esters uncle did something nice for the king one day and he got a prize that heyman wanted or something so they killed heyman and they blot his name out. so hes talking about heyman and how we have modern day heymans now and how they all have to be destroyed and how we should blot their names out and he used saddam as an example not that i like saddam or anything lol but it all seems so childish to me bomb this one because you dont like them bomb that one cuz they have my city whoever kills everyone who doesnt want to be involved first gets to be a war hero YAYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i tried to explain this to my parents and they said that i didnt have a good perspective. screw them.
