Pretty good start you have so far. I like them both as is, but I can see the flaming WeeJ one also looking cool with other variations at the same time. Maybe some more flame effects can go in the background as well, or just anything with an orange/red base tone to it. You could possibly add some words or images to the second matrix-looking image to shake things up a bit. I'm an amateur though, so pay no mind to me.

I'm about to have another go at a flame effect for a friend but I'm going to play with the text a little and I'm gonna add some fog in there as well...If I can, I'll add some kind of firey background (I find fire rather facinating)
I'll post it if I can and if it turns out ok-ish

I figured I might show somethings I've been making for fun. I've been using Photo Impression 3.0 (it came with my scanner) for this stuff, its kinda like photoshop, not as many cool thingies but definetly gets the job done... I dont have PhotoShop on this computer, and I dont have internet on the comp that does, plus I have photoshop 5 or something..., Im so far in the past... stuff and blah - onto the good stuff

for my frineds' band HUMA (www.humamusic.com) - I tweaked the colors, cropped, added the text, etc. ((sorry its so wide...arg))

well first i played around with the pic of me, i honestly dont remember what i did to get it cool like that but it was a combonation of days of work here and there and such, then i added the background which is peices of the album art for the new Darby Jones CD, then I added all the texty goodness. yeah.

and another, my hand at a martixy thingy. a banner i made for darby jones again.

this was a whole bunch of different stuff. blah. im tired of typing. just look.

I made a new signature for myself last night along the same lines as the flaming WeeJ...gotta suss out a way to host it now. Faceparty wouldn't accept it as the image was too small...

i can't really do it now as I'm only on the forum every so often during the day (although I remain logged on) as I'm at work and I just leave my screen minimized (pesky boss )

If you look to the bottom of the picture at the shrubbery, I couldn't get the white outline on one half of the bushes :/
Needs more faffing but what do you think of it at the mo?

I used Adobe Photoshop 7.0, Adobe Photoshop Elements 2.0, and Notepad for the coding.

It's a nice pic, but not really suitable for 56k users (Like WeeJ!) as the image is ~600KB. ouch.

hi i hope this isnt the wrong place to be putting this but im too lazy too go look for the other photoshop threads anyways...can anyone tell me the best way to remove marks and stuff from images? cause i found a tutorial to put scars and blood into images but i cant work out how to take them out. i tried using the patch tool but it ended up looking really fake.

help?

I usually use the rubber stamp tool
Alt+ click on a bit of the picture you want you copy from and then use it to paint over what you want to remove. The only trouple is it would look a bit crap on a detailed image such as skin (with the scars you're trying to remove)

yeah, thats like the patch tool (as i wrongly call it evidently ) its not bad but doesnt work too well for me cause skin tones arent even enough.

I use the rubber stamp tool fo removing marks on images. If you zoom in and are careful about the pixels you're stamping from you can get great results.

Make sure you use a small brush, the eye is really good at noticing repeating patterns and so if you replicate a big area exactly it is really obvious.

meh, my hair had gone mushroom cause i lost my wax (so i cut half my head out the photo), the shirt is my boyfriends and the only reason im looking at the floor is cause i went to sneeze when the camera timer ran out

im glad the necklace came out well though cause my ickle sister gave me it for christmas and that night (hogmany) i broke it trying to stop my friend falling into the toilet headfirst

Ok....most people here have probably seen a few things I've done on Photoshop from time to time...my sigs are always done on Photoshop, as are a lot of my Avs...then there was Missy's Christmas Present too so yeah. Anyway, these are 4 things that I (and 1 thing that the BF) made in Photoshop (just so you know, some were made from scratch, but the CD cover used borrowed images for the chaos attractors, and the the mountain/water scene has a borrowed (albeit altered) mountain) Why am I telling you this? I don't know....anyway:
