What the hell? The Sisters of Mercy did a Stooges cover?

I just don't know anymore.

Oh, the music! So much music!

More Faith No More has been acquired, in the shape of 'Angel Dust' and 'Introduce Yourself'. Also the new Fantomas long-player (weeeeeeeird).

SCORE of the recent days, though, has been Air's newie, 'Talkie Walkie'. So very, very beautiful. Really, it makes me feel like sunlight is glittering over my face whilst angels feed me marshmallows and beautiful Gallic maidens stroke my quivering flesh with their elegant fingers...

Excuse me while I fetch my Discman...

Can't get enough of 'Monsoon' by Preston School Of Industry (Out Today In UK! Wewt!). We've had it on but thrice in the shop, and it's chuffing great. Pure summery gorgeousness. Plus, it's by Spiral Stairs, the bloke what used to be in Pavement. Great!

Also, I've lately been listening to 'Official Bootleg Vol. 2' by Ross Noble (a comedian - his piece about finding faces in muffins slays me for no good reason), 'Fevers And Mirrors' by Bright Eyes, and 'Ed's Not Dead - Hamell Comes Alive!' by Hamell On Trial. My earphones have gone wonky, so acoustic and spoken word albums have been the order of the day until I can get it together to buy some new ones. Jeebus...

Been mostly listening to 'Tending The Wrong Grave For 23 Years' by Half Man Half Biscuit today, after a friend of mine suggested that we perform it at an open mic night. Funny, funny song...

Still found time for Preston School Of Industry, though...

Right now I'm listening to some of the 'Little Britain' radio show that one of my co-workers kindly copied for me. Very amusing...

Earlier in the week, though, I was giving in to a mondo Belle & Sebastian fest - "If You're Feeling Sinister", "Tigermilk", and my personal favourite, "Dear Catastrophe Waitress".

Mmm... Beautiful whimsy...

I dug up Prodigy's Fat Of The Land recently, got Poison on right now.

That's off "Music For The Jilted Generation", isn't it?

Good albums both. Whenever we play "Fat Of The Land" at work, some bugger always insists on buying all our copies - including the one we're playing at the time...

Today i shall mostly be listening to... Cat Stevens wub.gif

Oh yeah, now I remember. I burned Poison onto the end because it rocks.

And let's not forget the video. Nothing like a half-naked tattooed man screaming at you.

The "Breathe" video offers quality half-naked tattooed screaming, along with some spikey-haired bonkersness, also.

The Prodge have made some entertaining spectacles of themselves in the past, certainly. Made some damn good tunes, too...
CommieBastard
What about that recent single of theirs? Can't remember the name, the chorus was something about Rohypnol...the video to that was pretty strange. Had scantily-clad women milking cows, as I recall.
Industrial Kybosh
"Baby's Got A Temper", you mean? Never actually heard that song - it received quite a poor reception, from what I've been told.

Still, there should be a new album out this year (or so I've heard) - let's see how that turns out...
CommieBastard
I try not to judge on single songs, but that was nowhere near the standards of FotL or MftJG. I'm waiting until the album gets here (whenever that turns out to be), but to be honest I'm not holding my breath.
Industrial Kybosh
There is wisdom in your words, Komrade...

We'll doubtless be getting the album in at Music Zone when it finally arrives, and it will no doubt hit the stereo (just so we can be smug and say "Yes, this is the new Prodigy album, but you can't buy it til Monday. AAAAAAHHHH!!!"). Once that even arises, be sure that I'll be hitting the forums with my opinions.

Before then, there's new Beta Band and Morrissey. Joy upon joy.

Recently, I'm playing over the new Incubus album, and really liking it a lot. A great mix of melody and heaviness, and worth the waiting for it.

Jeff Buckley, Smiths and The Breeders at this very moment, though. I have'nt listened to these 3 in a while....

Dope, Felons and Revolutionaries. They do a bitchin' cover of Dead or Alive's "You Spin Me 'Round."
