Been kicking it bigstyle with my old buddies Basement Jaxx, too. Goshdarnit, but 'Remedy' is a fine album...
Anyone heard the new Beta Band stuff? New album out soon. Lordy lordy, I'm so excited. Think perhaps I'll put 'Assessment' back on again...
Finally, bless you Neil Hannon and your Divine Comedy genius. 'Absent Friends' is an album to sell your family for.

Hey, remember who started this thread before I whup yo ass!

I spent much of today listening to the music of the girl who lives upstairs (it was loud, the walls are thin, yadda yadda). Poor lass is in a bad way, it seems. RHCP's 'Under The Bridge', Bonnie Tyler's 'Total Eclipse Of The Heart' and various other songs about solitude and heartbreak do not a happy bunny make.
Perhaps we should invite her out to the pub with us sometime... Or maybe I should crank out some cheerful, happy tunage to counteract the negative vibes...

At this very moment? Cake- Nugget. Anyway for this morning for the original thread, Black Sabbath - Paranoid and Blue Oyster Cult - Tyranny & Mutation (I always post in albums). Nugget's off of Fashion Nugget. I couldn't decide on a mood and I was tired, so I pulled out Cake 'cause I didn't want to depress myself.

Blimey...
Well, it all depends on what you like, really. They're a little Flaming Lips like in part, but with their own Scandinavian twist, and some gorgeously multi-textured music paired with slightly abstract but deeply affecting lyricism.
I recommend them to everybody, and no-one who has taken it on board has been disappointed yet. Indeed, syuu voted their album her favourite of 2003. Nuff said.

So far as I can gather, when they play 'Symmetry' live, they project a film of the face of the young girl who sang the vocal. Jonas sings along with the recording of her voice, and the effect is absolutely gorgeous.
I bought both versions of the second release of 'She Came Home For Christmas', you see - it was on the DVD. Everyone point and laugh at the fanboy...
*points and laughes*
*realizes she special ordered 'Frengers' from overseas*
