I LOVE YOU!!! *much hugging*

Prominant noise in my ears over the last week or so has included new albums from Morrissey (interesting - great single), Eagles Of Death Metal (great!), 50 Foot Wave (marvellous) and Ash (feh...)

Mix in some Boards of Canada, PJ Harvey and SFA, and you have my week in music.

One thing - if my dear friend and colleague John is, by some strange chance, reading this, you will never make me an Avril fan, no matter how many times you play that bloody single!

A very sneakily downloaded set of mp3s of the new (and not yet released) Nightwish album, which unfortunately doesnt live up to their older stuff imho ph34r.gif

I want "Don't Fear The Reaper" to be played during my eulogy when I die.

I threw in Metallica's Master of Puppets album for the first time in a long time. It's one of the best albums in history.

I heard the new P J Harvey album yesterday. Can't wait to buy it. Mmm, baby - she's still got it.

Other noise invading my ear space includes the new Fall best of (bloody marvellous - a fine primer for a fine band), Tori Amos (gawd I love that woman...), Boards Of Canada ('Geogaddi' for a change - great!) and that bloody Beta Band album that I harped on about in the last article I sent to Juice. It's a corker, I tells ye.
Alanity
Had Hum - Downward is heavenward, Tim Buckley - Starsailor, I mother earth - Blue green orange and Sonic youth - Murray street playing today. Much yayness, especially the first 4 tracks on Murray street, some of the most beautiful music they've ever made.
Fallen Element
listening to Jack Off Jill's version of "I Touch Myself"...was listening to Cumdumpster earlier...

Also been listening to Maksim Mrivica playing Flight of the Bumblebee on th' piano...tis quite good, all spruced up and less classical but still 'good for th' old soul'!

Did a very long shop at Asda today - not buying a lot, just not remembering where any of it was, or indeed what I had come for - and managed to go from start to finish through 'Remedy' by Basement Jaxx.

Conclusion? Brilliant shopping music. I could see the looks of fear on the faces of the hapless shoppers as I hurtled past the cheese counter dancing to 'Jump And Shout', only to fly back the same way some minutes later with my ears full of 'Red Alert'.

I love that album, and the sense of reckless abandon that it instills in me...

Mushroomhead's XIII. It's a lot rougher than XX, but it still kicks major ass.
moop
Right now some combination of Arch Enemy, The Locust and Emperor, with the voice tracks taken out just cos im amazed that my voice frequency remover plugin can still seperate their vocals out!
