The Predatory Wasp of the Palisades Is Out To Get Us-Sufjan Stevens
I told myself that I would not get into Sufjan Stevens. But then....oh, something about the ridiculously intricate titles and the sweet naiive, pointless falsetto made me. Blast my weak female weakness.

A friend of mine sent me Chicago about two months ago, and I called her a hippie and didn't really listen to it further. He's been cropping up steadily in top-album magazine lists recently though- Rolling Stone and the like have been putting him in maybe since the last two weeks or so. I can't escape! (though I am getting a little sick of Predatory Wasp now)
Right now: Smells Like Content by the fantastic and delicious Books.

What? Neither Rob Manuel or Jonti Picking are in 7SOL, although I can fully see why you'd want to go and see the, they are very good.

Same here. I need music that I can have playing in the background while I work.
Might I suggest the following: Godspeed You! Black Emporer, Explosions In The Sky, Sigur Rós,
Low Level Owl era Appleseed Cast, Vivid Low Sky, Nun of the Above, Dialect and Soul Whirling Somewhere

Waking Ashland - I Am For You
I have a problem. An addiction, maybe. I can't help but buy CDs. I had a £15 amazon gift voucher, so I decided to spend it on, amongst other things, a CD. Waking Ashland's album and 'Two Conversations' by the Appleseed Cast were the two competing albums. I'd prefer to have Two Conversations, but it's twice the price. I decided the Appleseed Cast weren't worth twice as much to me as Waking Ashland, but they were worth more, so I settled on their 'Low Level Owl: Volume 2' album, which was only slightly more than Waking Ashland.
But then I realised that if I was almost prepared to spend that much on a single album, surely I could spend it on two, couldn't I? So I bought Waking Ashland as well. And this is where amazon got evil. In the 'customers who bought Waking Ashland also bought...' section, there was a JamisonParker album for a mere £4. So I had to buy that as well. Which means I ended up spending about three times what I'd planned to. Which I consider to be letting myself off easy. Anyone else here suffering from this addiction as badly as me?
