Smoosh!

^ band consisting of two sisters, twelve and fourteen. Imagine one of the kids from the Kidz Bop choir actually hitting the notes and sounding rad, with actual music behind them. Well...maybe that's not the best comparison. Anyway, it's delicious stuff. Check it out.

i'm listening to cat stevens right now! wild world

Air - You Make It Easy

Brilliant song for a summers evening!
Righteous
Right now I'm listening to Godmack's Awake album. After this, I'll throw on some Skinny Puppy until we have to leave. In the car, we'll probably listen to Dead to Fall or As I lay Dying (good morning music). One Hell of a selection, ain't it?
Righteous

Air are brilliant for anytime.

Tom Vek and The Beatles are alternating on Realplayer.

Lots and lots of Voltaire, which can best be described as "folk goth" - heavily inspired by European folk, and with some dark themes. Cath could describe better! He has a show in a city quite near me in a couple weeks and I'm dying to go if I can figure out how to get there!
That_Guy
"Banana Ghost" by Man Man. It makes me feel like I'm baked on a train with a bunch of monkeys singing*... But in a good way. If you've never heard of Man Man, take 'em out for a spin.

*Not that I have ever been baked before. Or with a train full of singing monkeys.

Godspeed You! Black Emperor - Antennas To Heaven

I got the Godspeed You! album Lift Yr. Skinny Fists Like Antennas To Heaven for my birthday and it is a brilliant album, mostly instrumental so I thought it would be good music to work to... I was wrong. It demands so much attention, and you have to give it because it is so beautiful.

I'm so glad - Cream

Snow Patrol's album, 'Eyes Open' - particularly for the track 'Chasing Cars' which semi-randomly had me in tears on Sunday.

I'm having a "Bands Beginning with S Afternoon"

Currently Snow Patrol, alongside Soundgarden, Saves The Day, Serafin... lots of others I can't be bothered to name!

I have bought a new CD today. I have been listening to Poulenc's orchestral works. Currently it is Complainte but it is so short that you never notice it has finished and end up listening to it at least three times!
Hobbes
I was listening to myself singing 'Crazy' by Seal, from the sheet music. And discovering I have no idea how the verses sound.

I cried most of the way through their set when I saw them. Crying to Snow Patrol is completely normal.

Today, as it was extremely slow at work, I spent most of the time singing along to:

Muse - Supermassive Black Hole
Muse - Starlight
Snow Patrol - Run
Snow Patrol - All I Have
Snow Patrol - Chasing Cars
Keane - everything off the Under The Iron Sea album
Keane - plus most of the Hopes & Fears album

I also enjoyed a bit of Scissor Sisters, and Tears for Fears.

Take yo momma out all night! biggrin.gif

I usually only like the popular songs made by bands, mostly because they have a prominent, simple tune that I can remember.

If anyone's ever liked the theme song to Buffy the Vampire Slayer or Power Rangers, then try Nerf Herder, or one of the member's solo album. Parry Gripp- For Those about to Shop- pretty good if you like short songs with little deep meaning (Some of the song names- Baseball is Fun, Say Hello to Your Brand New Favorite Pizza, Pita City Falafel, Truck Drivin' Man, This is One Hell of a Truck, Nice Motherf@#!*&ing Truck)
thatguy486
lets see for today the list should be something like this,

Disturbed - the sickness
Don Mclean - stary stary night
Frankie Lymon and the Teenagers - why do fools fall in love
The pouges - The sickbed of Cuchlainn
311 acappella version of - what i got by Sublime

Currently I'm listening to the new Kasabian single Empire.
Hobbes
Currently, it is 'Fix You' by Coldplay. I spent much of my day at work listening to music (whilst working though, I'll have you know!), and singing along to it. I think I am addicted?
elphaba2
Stars- The Vanishing. V. pretty song, one of the best songs for boys to sing, I think.
gothictheysay
Loreena McKennitt - Dante's Prayer
Hobbes
Keane - Leaving So Soon

I love that song so much. I have performed it in my singing lessons, and its challenging, but its fun too. Ah, so much love for it!

I like that song, but not their other stuff.

I have been listening to Ladytron.

I have been listening to the latest Hoobastank album today. It is most disappointing, I must say.
gothictheysay
I have been listening to Ladytron.

^ I just bought Lights and Magic biggrin.gif
Daria
This morning it was The Beatles 1967-1970 (record) then it was Ladytron Witching Hour (CD).

I can't stop listening to it. I also re-listened to The Subways self titled, still unsure what it is that attracts me to it.

I have been listening to Remy Zero - Fair. I discovered it on my sister's mp3 player. It has had me in tears.
Novander
Remy Zero were one of the first bands I saw live, supporting Weezer back in 2002

I have a tendancy to discover indie bands long after everyone else and thus I have spent today listening to Broken Social Scene
Izzy
Scary Kids Scaring Kids- A Breath Of Sunshine
Hobbes
I'm listening to Everybody Hurts by REM.

I spent most of today at my sister's and, whilst she was doing some work-stuff, I played on her piano (which is in slightly better tune than my own). But the only music book that was out was REM's Automatic For The People, so I played through that. So now I'm listening to the album itself.

Listening to "Vokuro" by Björk. It's gorgeous--reminds me of some odd vocal improvisations I once did in a pitch-dark cave with an a capella group from some college.

Though I was not singing in Icelandic.

I saw them in Holland. I was impressed to say the least.

Have been listening to Jimmy Eat World- Bleed American, and Ladytron. Still.

Jenny Was A Friend Of Mine - The Killers.

For some reason this song makes me cry.

Also: Maybe Tomorrow - Stereophonics.

The boys are back in town : Thin lizzy

Thunderstruck: AC/DC

Delays- You See Colours album. There is just something about the vocalist's voice- the raspyness with the high pitchedness. Yummo.
Felander
Baby's Got A Temper - The Prodigy.

Awesome track.

The Submarines--Peace and Hate

A few of the albums I ordered from Amazon arrived today, so I've mostly been listening to Death Cab For Cutie - Plans

I hadn't heard anything from this album, but reviews said it was similar in style to their transatlanticism album, and everything I've heard from that is awesome. Plans itself is, indeed, truly wonderful. A vast improvement over the only other Death Cab album I own, The Photo Album.
Felander
I am currently listening to the latest Muse album Black Holes and Revelations.

I am in love with two songs from that album: Starlight, and Supermassive Black Hole. The rest I can mostly live without.

I am currently listening to:
Never Be Lonely - by The Feeling

I bought the PVG Songbook for their album today.

Initially I thought that, but on listening to it more the entire album has grown on me. Knights of Cydonia is clearly the best track on the album in my opinion. I also like Invincible and City of Delusion. It's not their greatest album but all the same this new, more 'trippy' direction they've taken is interesting to say the least.
Daria
I am mostly listening to Mogwai, Joanna Newsom and my teeny weeny MP3's worth of songs that I mostly nabbed from a one Mr Teapot's computer before I went to Scotland.

Funeral for a Friend - Novella

I really like this song, it's got loud angry bits and quiet, chilledish bits so right now is fitting in nicely with my hormonal ups and downs!! Whoo!
