I've heard good things about Hanzel Und Gretyl. I'll have to give 'em a butchers.

Now playing is Christian Death's Only Theatre of Pain album. Pretty much the defining moment of deathrock as far as I'm concerned.

Slayer vs. Atari Teenage Riot - (no remorse) i wanna die

In an odd manouvre, I decided to listen to my favourite tracks from all my Playlist CDs. I have 5, plus 2 of the Dance and Urban ones.

Some clarification for the bewildered and the non-British - Playlist is a CD that comes out roughly once a month at HMV (my favourite high-street music shop, oh yus), and can be obtained by purchasing certain new releases. It comes in two flavours - Original, which contains plenty indie-flavoured tunes, and Dance and Urban, which is pretty self-explanatory.

I love these CDs dearly, and have often bought albums just to get them. Mind you, the albums I've bought have always been good, too - stuff like '()' by Sigur Ros, 'Frengers' by Mew, and 'Draft 7.30' by Autechre.

Mmm... Music, music, music... I love music...

The vocalist is female. She has a rather gritty voice, and a lovely scream. It rawks my sawks, do give them a turn. The guitar riffs are pretty nice, also.

I forgot to add that currently, I'm listening to Project 9 and Turbulent Soundscape, two UK based groups who are also rather good. ; D

I'm very..Liberal about sharing my music. I have a pretty large( and growing ) collection of MP3's, and I've no qualms about sending files through AIM for samples. If you think I have it, or know I have it, and you want the MP3, I'd send. Merely ask.

This evenin's choons to learn by have been a bit of a dive into the dustier end of me CD collection...

"Mellon Collie & the Infinite Sadness" - Smashing Pumpkins. An album that I wasn't sure of at first, but grew on me after several listens.

"Candy Apple Grey" - Husker Du. Kicks arse, but is too short. Dun think Bob Mould was big on lengthy choons...

"Heaven Up Here" - Echo & The Bunnymen. Finest Scouse band since the Beatles, IMHO...

Rush - 2112

Today it's been:

Machines of Loving Grace - Concentration and their self-titled one

CommieBastard
Mozart's Agnus Dei. I'm on a bit of a Mozart kick at the moment.

In celebration of the new video, Manson's "This is the new Shit" (or new "hit" as MTV tells us)

But as far as NON Manson, for me it's all about the Silent Hill 3 soundtrack, "I'm Horny" by Mousse T, and "Prince Ali" from Disney's Aladdin biggrin.gif

the darkness - permission to land. yes, i know it's terrible. yes, i am slightly ashamed to like it. but it's just sooooooo good...
CommieBastard
Yeah, the Darkness rock in a slightly shamefaced, couple-of-decades-too-late way.

Mozart's Symphony No. 40 over here. I'm all about the Mozart right now.
Sun Tsu
I started today off with Pixies and then worked it off with QOTSAs first album (not Rated R, the one before that). I then went to The darkness and now im here. biggrin.gif

This past weekend, I've kind of gone for some Verdi's "Dies Irae" and of course some other (rather odd) personal favorites of mine (and as I am tired, the composers escape me right now): "Ode to Joy" and "Worthy is the Lamb"

I've also been dancing to Dead Stars (club mix) by Covenant and "Saturday" by Funkstar De Luxe happy.gif
