nope but in 8th grade i went to yosemite and invented snow diving. It consisted of my jumping off my cabin into snow drifts not knowing where the rocks were.

Ever been to Bangor? We had our own weather system out there. You could never second-guess it. I had to go out in layers, carrying an empty bag.
I liked Bangor - good solid North Welsh scenery. Not much snow below the mountains, mind...

I was talking to an Australian woman in a pub once on a snowy day. She'd never seen snow before, and was expecting it to fall in big flakes like in the movies.
Bless her cotton socks...
Yeah, we don't have real weather here in Britland. But we do have variety.

We do excel in having large expanses of bland dull weather punctuated by brief periods of half hearted rain.
Haven't found anywhere that does that better.
Mind you, it make the crisp clear days all the more enjoyable, donchathink?

snow is highly over rated!!! we have snow here for about half the year. in december, january, and february it's not uncommon for it to be in the -30s (celsius) or for the windchill to be in the -40s or 50s. we get a lot of snow, though usually not more than a foot or 2 at once. school has only been cancelled once in my life time- it snowed about 5 feet when i was in kindergarden, so i was too young to talk advantage of it properly. snow is EEVILL!!!!! but thankfully, spring is here! the snow is melting, and it got up to +5, with no windchill, so a lot of people were wearing shorts. i'm wearing a tank top and a knee high skirt. yay me!

well i live near DC and we had a huge arse snow storm (for us) and we got a week off school a while ago, and we got 2 feet which may seem like nothing to alot of you but think of us as a state that never gets any snow ever and then we start getting feet, thats kinda a shock
jicama
Mar 21 2003, 02:32 AM
snow dance of doom, eh? thats gweat! but snow is still evil. try shoveling it for just one winter and you'll agree. and yes, wearing shorts and such isn't something that gets done in the fall when it's +5, but just after winter, +5 feels like +20. besides, canadians are crazy! I worked about 32 of the 48 hours. They gave us these ridiculously hard cots to sleep on, and they fed us the ever so lovely hospital food. It was fun.. really, it was =/

conversation b/t Saskatchewan people
1: Man, this is like winter all over again.
2: I know! It hasn't stopped snowing for days! It's really hard to drive
1: Isn't it supposed to be spring?
2: I wish I was somewhere else, somewhere warm.
1: Well, all this has got to be good for the farmers.
2: Are you even related to a farmer?
1: No, but I know of farmers.
2: Oh. alright then.

Just a freak weather system. From Montana! When the heck did weather come from Montana?! Before this week it was warm and dry and people were going about in their shirtsleeves. Then smelly MONTANA has to send us a bunch of crummy snow that was better off in the mountains.
