It's summer right now, which means I'm constantly thinking about how much I hate hot, sunny weather. So I want to know what everyone else thinks about the seasons or different times of year... Do you have a favorite season? What do you like or dislike about certain times of year?

I hate summer because I have no desire to "suntan" or "get some color" from sunbathing. I hate it because sweating feels very uncomfortable and bars me from going much of anywhere in the summer. (I find it amusing that most people regard summer as the time to do things and go places, when I view it as the best time to stay home and avoid the outdoors.) I also find it embarrassing that my face turns a very noticeable shade of red after a measly five or ten minutes of not-so-strenuous activity in the outdoors during a hot day. For some reason, my face changes colors very easily, such that I can get lots of stares for doing much moving around outside in the heat.

I really like the autumn and winter weather though. I find myself most comfortable when I can wear long sleeves under short sleeves, piling layer upon layer of clothing. And it's easier to sleep when you're cold than when you're hot. At least in the cold you can pile on more blankets. When it's hot, there's no escape, short of sleeping in the bathtub with cold water. Hot weather is just inescapably unbearable to me...

Autumn and winter also look prettier. I like the appearance of all the colorful leaves in the fall, as well as the bare-boned look of the trees after their leaves have departed. And winter is usually when the precipitation comes, snow or rain depending on where you live, and I love watching it rain/snow.

i love spring and autumn. winter is too cold, summer is too hot. though i must agree w/ ya moonlight, i'd rather be too cold than too hot.

spring and autumn are both so pretty too. in spring all the flowers are blooming, and the weather is nice and cool....and in autumn the leaves are falling, and there are nice brisk temperatures.

ahhhh i wish it were autumn already. *sigh*

I love autumn...everything just looks so pretty. I love all the colours the golds and browns and oranges..it all looks so nice. I like misty autumn days when its really hazy in the morning and then the mist rises and then the sun shines but its not too hot, those days make me happy

I love autumn because its not too hot or cold and the leaves are beautiful.....

I love winter
Sure it gets really cold up here in Canada, but thats why I love it. mmmm Ice.. so tasty (the stuff you buy in bags not off the ground of course ) I dunno why I like the cold, but it makes me feel so much more awake and active. Oh and the nasty sun goes away. And theres snowboarding, the best past time ever. Not to mention cabins, hot tubs, and beer. All the great deals of winter that come from living near banff n' such. Hooray winter.

Then again last July we did get some freak snow storm for like a week. And so far our summer has been pretty cool. Not all that bad. But I still loves me winter and snow.

My fav seasons would be spring because my birthday falls around there (March) and fall because its cooler.

Summer, although we peeps get a break the heat drives me up the wall. Winter, is only good when theres no windchill (or no wind at all) and its snowing lightly, that I do not mind at all.

I like every season except summer... the only laudable thing about summer is when ya get that really deep blue sky wi no clouds in it... but since I can appreciate it fer half a minute before I burn to a crisp, an the fact it rarely happens here, it's not a great thing...

I like winter, after snow, when it clings to the trees. It looks so beautiful. Oh, an crimbo! Too damn cold, though...

I really like autumn! All the colours of the leaves, an ya get those balmy evenins when ya can sit out an drink beer (as opposed to the stuffy hot ones we have in summer). I love wadin through the piles of leaves an of course me birthday is in autumn. But it rains too much

But me fave is spring. Everythin is so pretty, the air is fresh, it's light but not mad hot... it's after the cold season and before the dreaded hayfever season, it's the one season where me sinuses aren't bothered by anythin!!!

Autumn every time. I love the way that things look so beautiful as they're dying, and misty mornings with haze obscuring the mountain is so...nostalgic.

Summer makes me sad, and spring seems to be the coldest of the seasons, not weather-wise, but everything just seems colder. Winter I love, expect for when I have to walk up the farm at 7 in the pissing rain and sludge because it's too dangerous to drive!

So autumn is is.

i have to say that i dont like hot weather that much, but living in ireland means that that is'nt a problem! i dont like cold weather that much either though, as it makes my nose go all runny and my eyes all teary (yep, hayfever-like symptoms in winter! isnt that an attractive feature!). i also hate rain and strong winds.
as for likable weather, i find that autumn is nice, or at least when its not raining. or to be more spacific, that time of year when summer is turning into autumn, when the skies are slightly cloudy, its not rainin' and the temperature is around 10 degrees C. i also would like spring, if there where'nt so many flying insects.

Autumn is my favourite season--i love the colours and leaves.

I would have to say that summer is my faverite time of year. It is a time of swimming and other water related things to keep cool lol. I do agree with sleeping in really hot weather,that can be a real pain.

I enjoy a nice summer night that is not to hot and not to cold but just right, the kind of night you can sleep outdoors or just relax outside. I burn kinda easy but thats wehat sun tan lotion is for right

Summer is my least favorite season. Even though I LOVE to swim, I burn VERY easily and suntan lotion doesn't work on me. And I hate heat. Whenever people asked me that rhetorical question about whether I'd rather burn or freeze to death, I've always said freeze.

Spring is my next least fav. It's pretty and all, but in South Carolina there really ISN'T a spring. Maybe a few nice days, but mostly it means rain, humidity, and summer's heat early. Maybe I'd like spring more if I had actually experienced it.....

Winter is my second favorite. I like the cold. You can always pile on the shirts and jackets in the cold, while there's only so much you can take off in heat without being arrested for indecent exposure. Although, in SC there's very little snow. And it melts really fast.

Fall is my very favorite season. For one thing, I was born in the fall. And autumn seems like it was custom-made to match my coloring. Spring colors make me look weird, summer colors, too, but fall colors match my hair. And it's just sooooooo beautiful in the mountains at this time! And my favorite holiday is in fall, too. Halloween is THE BEST holiday IN THE WORLD!!!!! I mean, when else can you take candy from strangers, running around in the middle of the night, while dressed up in clothing not normally socially acceptable?

i like winter cuz it's chilly and chillyness is super.. plus sow is oh so sparkly and when you're drawn to shiny things, snow is also a good thing

winter is pretty decent. Snow is cool but it gets really annoying when there is so much of it and it gets everywhere and its cold and wet lol. It's so much fun when your little to build snow men,have snow ball fights etc .

Hm..I like late spring.

Nothing beats fall around here. Temperatures cool down to around 60's and 70's. Leaves start turning colors. It's really pretty. And tranquil. I love walking through a yard of leaves. It's just darn spiff-a-riffic.

i agree with aries i prefer fall around here not only is it beautiful...its cooler and it jus reminds me of the good days

I forgot to mention that fall is the happy happy season in which electric bills severely drop. No more air conditioning *does the super happy snoopy dance*

autumn. or fall....whatever people prefer to call it. i think autumn has a sexy ring to it. i enjoy the colors, festivities, the MOON.....my god it looks amazing in autumn here....all harvesty and grand. makes me feel all pagan. hmmm...... i love the way the wind sweeps up the leaves in a swirl in the morning - i can stand in the middle of it all and feel as though the harsh wind is embracing me. it gets a bitter chill - i love the cold.....more reason to wear ridiculous layers of clothing. the sky has a romantic feeling. autumn is that place right between life and death......where everything stands still, but is so active.
