Arrr yes we've all seen it advitising now havn't we.
a matrix come blade type movie, with Kate Beckinsale playing as Selene...... a vampire. her job is to slay lycan's which to the unedicated like me are werewolfs, they have fought for shit loads of years but now she falls in love with one of them, and oh wait.... yes we know how the rest of the film is going to play out don't we.
so the plots a waste of time, no changes there then, so should you go watch this? well i'd say if you don't have to don't, BUT Kate Beckinsale is a mega babe and this is not a sence and sencabilty sort film which she tends to play normally, Shes in a cat suit, and does it make up.... well almost.
there is nothing here we havn't seen before, there is a good game you can play thou while watching this film, (if you watch it that is), its called spot the rip off, all you do is namewhat film they ripped off.
all in all not really worth spending money on, download it if you have to, and then only do that if you want to see Kates bum, or you could download some nacked pics of her instead.
I give this film a G rating of **********

I went to see it last night and rather enjoyed it.
I'd say that it's somewhere between the Soul Reaver computer games and the visuals of Blade... Which I thought was a pretty good thing. Sure, it's pretty daft but who seriously goes into a vampire film expecting it not to be daft?

I don't know.. I liked it as well.. there was some bad Character development... and you really did not get to know the characters either.. but with that said this is a intro movie... it is not designed to tell the entire story.. just the cliff notes version. I think the other ones will be much better... my only complaint is how Viktor went out... that was to much cheese!! And Kate B. was super freaking hot! Jebus!!! WOW! She was perfect for the roll... anyway.. I give it
***** - 3 stars

I went to see it, and enjoyed it as well. I wasn't expecting anything deep, and it delivered on that. I didn't like how the werewolves looked though. They reminded me a bit too much of baboons.
Plus.... Kate. Beckinsale. It's been said already numerous times, but YUMMY!

Also adding to the appeal of this: The first time in a LONG while that no irritating kids who insist on chattering through the whole thing didn't sit behind me, but that's just pure luck.

I watched about half of it. *Snuck in through the last half* Didn't like it. Werewolves? Poorly made. What's with them and guns? They're vampires and werewolves. Why are they wasting their time with human contraptions?
Ughhh.

I for one thought it was a pretty good movie. Of course my opinion of it as a movie may be scewed by the hot chick dressed in black being there the whole time. It wasn't all that great at the beginning, there was way too much action and not nearly enough story. It got better towards the end though.

If you would have seen the first half of the movie, you'd know why they're using guns.

Tsk tsk, naughty Liz.

Yeah she would. So I told her about it on
Elven-board cause I figure she goes there more. I could be wrong though.
That's what she get's for stealing from the man.

Hehe. Yeah, I had to search through a couple of topics to find the explanation, and thanks, but I knew that because I read a review on it

Jimmy Lummy Goth would, you know the sort.
I'm planning on seeing this sometime soon (the film, not Jimmy Lummy Goth), if only for the aesthetics (
not just Kate Beckinsale. You know, her leather, too).

The only thing that really bothered me was how weak they seemed to make the Vampires. I mean, werewolves could change shape, climb the walls, run along the ceiling, push bullets out of their bodies...
and like....all the vampires could do was....um.....jump down from tall buildings and run kinda fast? (but not very fast, considering a werewolf was able to catch a speeding car)

Yeah, the wherewolves did seem to have the upper hand for the most part.
