i dont do drugs but i dont really care if other people use them in moderation as long as they leave me out of it and dont hurt themselves

I dun do it now (hell, I don't smoke anythin apart from an occasional constitutional cigar wi a fine cognac!).

Prolly best ta leave the chemicals alone tho, I never wanted ta try E or acid or any o that white powdery stuff or derivatives thereof...

You know, there's a huge difference between recreational/casual users and "stoners". Basically being the frequency and situation in which the drug(s) are used. Casual users use, well, casually- it's there, so why not smoke it, but they don't sit around and count the minutes until they can do it again. Stoners smoke two joints when they wake up, two joints before school, two joints before they smoke two joints... you know... normally the kind of people who end up transferring their habit to a higher-potency drug.

oh yeah i never touched anything harder than weed,and ganj,think it's pointless,cos the harder drugs are where the risks lie.

I never use them with the extion of a ocationsl beer and that is few and far off and as for others using it they can do whatever they want to thier body.

totally agree-i know people who get totally smashed before school,just to get em thru the first half hour of life.the teachers complain,but at my school most of the bloody teachers r junkies-justgoes to show wat angelic,adorable students we are and wat a pleasure we are to teach-mehehehehee

I am to old for that stuff now.. I still smoke the sacred ganja. The herb of enlightenment... but my body cant take anything else.. plus I do have some goals in life.... But I have no issues with anyone who does anything except heroin.. that stuff is just wrong...

ya have to smoke a helluva lot of dope to fuck yourself up permanently, i enjoy a good smoking session, its good for clearing out the cupboards of the shit that you need to be stoned to eat...but i agree with leo, never touch chemicals, 'shrooms even scare me, but i still laugh about my mates acid trip where he thought he was being chase through a field by an electricity pylon

Heroin's really bad, but acid scares me too. Take some of that stuff, your whole world is just wrong, and sometimes it never quite reverts to normal...

Acid is a state of mind.. I spent a very long summer eating a lot and I mean A LOT of acid... I never once had a bad trip and as far as I can tell I am okay **twitch**... I do have a issue with looking at red lights.... like the ones on top of communication towers... if I look at it and then look away my eyes jump and I get weird trails... But yeah.. I think most of the acid now is crap. It is just makes you feel all smacky and there are no good visual acid anymore. So now if I want acid I eat shrooms.. (which is like maybe twice a year) and I roll every once and a while (two -three times a year).. but thats it for the kid.. I just dont feel like the acid/x scene is like it was when I was growing up, it was actually a loving atmosphere about self expression and laughing your ever loving arse off. No one sold bad stuff that could kill you, cause it would ruin your trip. There was honesty among dealers back then... now everyone is greedy.. much like our goverments...

I led a pretty hardcore narcotically enhanced life for a few years at uni. Speed and/or E every weekend, and dope to recover from the comedowns that would normally last until the Wednesday.
Obviously, not conducive to study and learning, and as a result, I nearly failed my first year. Got my ass in gear, wised up and cut it back to occassional use (well, not the dope, but that's another story). Tried acid once, and coke once. Fun, but not my bag. Up until this year, still used to binge-smoke dope once every month or two when I met up with old buddies, and drop pills a few times a year on particularly good nights out clubbing.
This year, I'm subject to random drug tests at work, so I'm on the narco-wagon, which has been no hardship whatsoever.

So, from my personal perspective, I've had nothing but good drug experiences, but I've seen several serious rave casualties over the years, and my advice to anyone who takes, or is thinking of taking drugs is this.
Be sensible. Keep an eye on yourself, and if it starts getting out of hand in any way, shape or form, quit it. And most importantly: never, ever, take anything unless YOU want to, not because other folk are.

Be safe, do your own thing, and have fun. Not a bad motto for life in general actually.

I never done any any drugs and don't want to. Not even the odd joint. Quite a few of my friends smoke around me, it doesn't really bother me I just prefer not to do it myself. Its pretty pathetic seeing idiots out at a club that have taking something and are acting like total idiots thinking everyone loves them when in actual fact everyone is taking the piss out of them.

ahahaha... same thing happened to me when I first tried it... ohhhhh how I loved that white demon for about 6 months... but I was never addicted... I just loved it more than I loved paying the light bill... but I came around real quick.. I did to much at a club one night.. and danced to hard.. and almost stroked out on the dance floor.. that was the end of me coke days...

i will never (knowingly) do any worse than the odd weed. i only have the occasional bit at parties anyway. i know quite a few people who will do anything they can get their hands on and thats just dumb. the chemicals are just....stay away...and..yeah. thats my say.
but all these polls in the papers about weed, who do they ask? 25% taken weed? i think its a tad more than that!

Actually created the mother board from a acid trip.. he would eat acid and think that he was surfing on circuit boards, down file paths... he confessed to all of this in a documentory about acid.

my point is some people can not handle mind altering drugs.. they don't have the mentality to handle it. Then there are others that find them therapeutic and open avenues of enlightenment and creativity that cannot be achieved otherwise.

In my first, second and third-person experience of recreational drug users, it's not about escaping everyday life at all, it's just about having fun.

Like with the booze; most people who go down the pub do it as a purely relaxational thing, chill out with your friends, chat about rubbish, then go home and carry on as usual. It's only a very small minority that use it to dull the pain of existing.

You may as well say people play football to escape to another world. Nah, see, it's just a laugh, innit?

i admit drugs are a problem in nyc but the solution is kinda unnecessary and racist (cause in the city many more blacks are caught with crack than whites in nyc and the penalty for gettin caught with crack is insane and much more than all the other penalties. you can easily get put in jail for the rest of your life...... sad). the worst part is that it's not really helpin much..... but whatever they're not gonna change......

i hate drugs... and i hate for my friends to do them... ive seen so many lives be completly ruined by them... it makes me so sad when my friends dont even remember there own names...

I have a serious problem with most drugs. But as far as pot goes........I don't mind it. I don't smoke it anymore but if someone wants to toke every once in a while.........I say go right ahead. But remember:
