For me, it's the day that my son or daughter challenges me to a game of skill and/or cunning, and wipes the floor with me. I'll feel like I've passed the torch on to a new generation.

Yeah, you're right, book first, I'd only get an A if I had a blind examiner.

That's a very difficult question to answer really as I don't know where I'll be ten years in the future. At the moment, I'm just looking forward to eventually moving in with my boyfriend and settling down into every day life. Very mundane.
I really couldn't imagine me having children at all. Plus, My other half isn't a large fan of chilren anyway. We're planning on getting a cat and a brown sofa.
Oh god, I've just read that and I sound like I have very low standards in life. That's not true. I'd like to be the best me I can possibly be. I'm just very easy to please once contented. give me pajamas, a cup of tea and a cuddle and I'm as happy as Larry.

very nice... i'd almost agree...
but i am still looking towards several things....
1. the ocean, a steel drum, a smoke..... ah, jamaica.
2. the smell of stagefright, a new drama, the ruffle of a program.... ah, london...
and the last and unattainable:
3. the first time i get recognition (for real) for my music. not some lame contest, or an open mic...

anyway, i look forward to the day i meet a girl i get on really well with, is single and likes me in that way (yanno)....but until then, i'd be chuffed with one of those double 'ard kilo-watt microwaves that makes the food glow faintly green when it's cooked and you need a lead vest for (ok i exagerate a little...you don't need a lead vest)
I'd like to find someone to love. You know, the sort of person that you sleep with and you look forward to waking up just so you can see their face.
Either that or a dog. I'd be happy with either.

Well, being Xian, the experience I look forward to most is Heaven.
But, on a non-religious basis, the experience I look most forward to is being with whoever happens to be the one for me. Right now there's someone who I think it might be, but I'm just a teenager so there's still the possibility it's just a crush. Besides we're not going out (hopefully a yet belongs in these parenthisis).

I look forward to the day when somehow, everything will finally click in my mind and I will understand everything I'm meant to do, if there is anything I should. I'm not sure how it will come to me, or when, or why, or from where, but when it strikes me that will be the biggest feeling of release and freedom i can hope for.
Until then, it looks like I'm wandering around waiting for my direction
I've just read that back and yes, I appreciate it's kind of ironic that the ultimate freedom I'm looking forward to is some binding task or path to move within, but I have no answers. let's just hope its a good path

Well, for me, it used to be the day I have sex. Now that that's over and done with, I look foreward to four things: 1) Getting married 2) Getting ordained 3) Having kids 4) Having one of my productions (mvie, play, book, animation) coming to fruition.
Either that or getting into a threesome.

Yeah, that's a bit corny and whatnot, but my priorities have gone to where that's first. It's become a bit of an obsession worryingly enough, but I'm comfortable knowing that some day it'll happen.

Besides The riots on Hockey nights are much funner in Canada. Already got me new riot gear for when the next winter olympics roles around.

Mushy food's the daddy! You clearly haven't a clue what you're talking about. Chips'n'mushy peas is one of the cultural delights of England, especially when you add a small pot of curry sauce and a liberal sprinkling of scraps.

Come to Canada. It's got snowmobiles, lovely scenery, you already speak the language, there's no Tony Blair, lots of lakes, nice people, pretty money, three whole oceans, it's the second largest country in the world, Edmonton has 3 submarines in a mall and Halifax has a giagantic tongue in it's harbor! Then you can sing "We come from the land of the ice and snow" and really mean it!

wow! canada sounds like a great place jaq! you've got me convinced, i'm moving there as soon as... wait! i already live here! and it is great. back bacon, smarties, wearing socks with sandals, healthcare, people who are so polite that they will say excuse me when you bump into them, the northern lights, and the most damn beautiful sunsets on the planet!
sure winter sucks big time, but without it we wouldn't have the word "toque"! and you got to admit, toque is a very fine word indeed.
also, you'd think commie would like it here in saskatchewan- it's so socialist!
anyway, to unhighjack the thread, i think the one thing i want out of life is a comfortable retirement. no worries, no obligations. like being a kid again, only wiser and with your own house. and hopefully ailments.
