Me, I ended up Libertarian Left... along with The Dalai Lama. laugh.gif

I ended up as Libertarian Left too.

Surprise, surprise. biggrin.gif
Succubusalicious
I'm joining you in you Libertarian Left corner !!
Righteous
As per usual, I'm the lonely anarchist. sad.gif
Polocrunch
I landed atop the Dalai Lama, no surprises there.
Tigersong
I'm close to Nelson Mandela, apparently. And Jean Chretien, which I find terribly amusing. So yeah, I lie just left and libertarian.

Eh? Aren't you always on about how the Market is everything? Shouldn't that put in the the libertarian right corner?

Anyway, I'm very libertarian and slightly left.

Their explanation as to why that option is not included:

QUOTE
You should have a "don't know" option

This makes it too easy for people to duck difficult issues. By forcing people to take a positive or negative stance, the propositions make people really evaluate their feelings. Often people find they wanted to select 'don't know' mainly because they'd never really thought about the idea.

I'm standing to the left of Gandhi, behind Nelson Mandela (if we're all facing North, of course)

libertarian left, just barely below the Dalai Lama.

seems most of the forum so far is lib. left.

Your political compass
Economic Left/Right: -5.25
Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.90
FurryMammal
Authoritarian Right! Get to work hippies! We need these cheap looking wallets out on the streets of New York within the day, or else we'll never be able to fund our army!

...Yeah, im libertarian left like the rest of you tongue.gif

S'funny, it came as no surprise. Anyone get a shock?
Daedalus
Libertarian Left, further out than any of the international figures. More specifically, I got:

Economic Left/Right: -7.25
Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.90

Yeah. Sorry. I get my lefts and rights mixed up sometimes. Don't laugh. It's not funny.

Yep, this thread pretty much proves the relative political homogeneity of the forum. Ho hum.

That's not exactly surprising. It takes a certain type of person to be entertained by Mata's creations and to connect with those who appreciate them. I doubt people with ideologies from the other 3 quadrants (with the exception of Ri, you black sheep tongue.gif) would find this site so appealing.

Same way in which most people here have (fairly) similar cultural and musical tastes, although not to the extent of political perspective, apparently.

Maybe we should take an average of our scores and work out Matazone's general political stance?
Sir Maxerpopple
Commie, sometimes the question will ask--

Are SUVs bad and should they be banned?

Yes, bad and should be banned
No, should not be

I beleive they are bad and should not be banned.

Hence a problem.
sjbbandgeek
My only problem with this quiz is that there are too many open ended questions that could be debated with all these "what-ifs"
Jaq
I'm more left and libertarian than any political/historical figure.

economic left/right -6.12
libertarian/authoritarian -6.24

then I took it again trying to be as right wing as I could without lying to see just how right wing I can be. Yeah... I turned out to be around where Nelson Mandela and the Dalai Lama are...

economic left/right -4.12
libertarian/authoritarian -3.91
sammi
It's kinda' weird how we're coming up with similar results... Cuhreeepayyy... o_O Closest to Gandhi and the Dalai Lama, supposedly. Result-nesses:

Economic Left/Right: -3.62
Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.23

(Libertarian + Left)
antagony
Libertarian left, like everyone else here. More left than libertarian, strangely enough. I was at about 5.95 for libertarian and 7.25 for left. Or something. Either way, more left-wing than I expected because my views seem pretty conservative compared to some people's.
Sir Maxerpopple
When I took that test a while ago, I beleive I was right libertarian. However, the test was not accurate, the questions simply didn't work for me. I'm a third optioner I suppose. However no political philosophy accurately describes me, except maybe Maxerpoppleanism...
MistressAlti
I think it's fascinating (but certainly not surprising) that we all landed so similarly on this... you don't suppose Mata's site attracts Libertarians, do you? laugh.gif
IrishGuy
I tried to take the test, but I couldn't. I couldn't understand most of the words.

I'm not a bad person, am I? sad.gif
Sir Maxerpopple
The site attracts people with an attration to alternative humor.

Many teenagers that like alternative humor .

Those teenagers are coincidentally liberal-minded people (more or less, a few exceptions)

These partcular liberals are rather freedom orieted.

Hence libertrians.

However, the test doesn't really provide a place for moderates, and the choices are never objective.

Not all of us liberal-minded people are teenagers. There are a few adults lurking around here.

Well - this is the third time I've taken a test like this and it's come out saying the same thing... again:

Economic Left/Right: -8.25
Libertarian/Authoritarian: -6.77

More libertarian than MG and more left wing than the DL.
CommieBastard
Taken it again, and I'm:

Economic Left/Right: -2.88
Libertarian/Authoritarian: -6.10

Left/middle, and pretty damn libertarian. Round about Dalai way.
Sir Maxerpopple
As I said, using generalizations. Kudos to the adults here, nice to see its not only teenagers who like Mata's humor.

See, I'm all for personal freedoms and what-not (which I've noticed you guys are, too), but I've noticed that you guys differ greatly from me in our economic beliefs. Not that it's bad or anything, but once again...I'm the lonely anarcho-capitalist. sad.gif laugh.gif

I landed right on top of John Chretien. So either I'm a left liberarian, or our now past primeminster has had the schools brainwashing us all.

However early this morning when I took the test I was further out left, but meh it was to early for me to answer things properly.

All of these I believed were circumstancial and I got fed up... I can't generalize everything, it's just not in my ability to do so

Libby Left? Surprised? No? Neither was I. I took it sometime ago so I can't remember the exact numbers.

I actually ended up in almost the exact same place on the chart as Nelson Mandela! w00t!

Yeah, people who truly appreciate Mata's animations are going to share quite a bit in the nature of open-mindedness and ideas of personal freedoms.

But just because we're mostly in the left-libertarian side, doesn't mean we're all in the same position there.
