I was making breakfast for my little sister when I asked her how she likes her toast ans she said burnt. We have a scale 8 toaster and she likes it between 6 and 7. I'm a 4 guy myself. What about you guys?

Probably about four or so, I think... Really dark, crispy toast annoys me 'cause it tastes like charcoal or something funky.

I put 1... I prefer me toast really pale. Honestly, I'm jus one step from turnin the toaster on an jus showin the bread to it!

im a 3. if its too crispy it hurts my throat, three seems to be best for me.

3!!! So its ever so slightly crispy but the butter melts all over it and makes it go all yummified *Drools*

I put well done which is 7 on my toaster. It's nice and dark and crispy but not burnt until 8.

I dislike the new-fangled toasters that don't pop up when your toast is done. It just keeps cooking and cooking. I first came upon one of these while vacationing, and eating breakfast in the hotel. My bagel actually melted onto the styrofoam plate...

for meself it depends on the type of bread you put in the toaster

regular good ol' white bread...about a five
rye bread (my personal fave)...maybe a 2/3
pumpernickel...a one

but nothing black i agree it does taste funny

I'm not sure how your toaster works, but my ideal piece of toast isn't discoloured yet, but it slightly crispy. Like Lee's.

I picked 1. Toaster kissed, definitely. It brings out the flavor without making it taste like char. Yuck. The only reason I even toast it is probably just so it's slightly easier to hold...

I shame the rest of my family with my toaster ways. They get toast, and say, "Who left this setting on 1?!?!?!", then give me an accusing look.

I think I prefer bread over toast.. but when I have toast it's very lightly toasted.

I prefer just lightly toasted... somewhere around a 2 or 3. Bagels need a tiny bit more though. Several ways I like my toast:

1. with jam (strawberry, grape, or blackberry - although blackberry is my favourite)
2. with peanut butter, done the second the toast is done so peanut melts
3. peanut butter and jam toast sandwich
4. with mayonaise (odd, i know, and wilted lettuce on it is even better to make a sandwich)
5. with butter, brown sugar, sugar, and a bit of cinnamon then popped in themicrowave to melt a little bit more (yum!!!!)
6. raisin cinnamon bread toasted
7. with apple butter (forgot about that one and just had it yesterday)

I voted 3 - just enough to give it a 'lil bite and no more. Blackened toast isn't nice... <Shudder>

And I like tinned makerel on My toast. Back in the days when I was greedy I used to have 4 pieces, 2 with just butter and 2 with vegemite and butter, I'd stack them to stagger the toppings and always left a crust and a half on my plate (it wasn't intentional it just happened).

Now the only other ways I eat bread are in btead and butter pudding and flat bread in kebabs

And just while I'm at it you should know........Burnt toast causes cancer..

I'm a 2 person myself. Just slightly cooked cinnamon toast with a bit of butter and perhaps some more cinnamon mixed in is fabulous and delightful. All shall understand the glory that is cinnamon! The farmer's market near my house also makes this oatmeal/walnut bread that is nearly as exploding-taste-in-mouth-wonderful, so I split my breakfasts between the two.

I need a good 6. I mean; you need the substqnce. Also; I think thqt the blqck gives it flavour. Someti,es I have a 4 though because a 4 tastes better zith butter on top.

Toast..... I love toast, it's the BEST way to eat bread. Especially when there's a globet of melted butter in the middle, and it's crunchy on the outside and all soft and wispy on the inside.... Yumm

1 or 2 for me. i like my toast..RARE!
