Yes these new materials do exist I even searched for the newer fabrics and clothes are made out of these materials, god knows which ones.

I love natural fabrics, leather, cotton, wool, all sorts of things that if I had to,in a pinch I could fashion a reasonable facsimile of them or at least have some fun trying.
