If you think we've never had a childhood then obviously you are mistaken, but we have grown up, or to use another term, we've become more mature. That is the point of these forums, that the people here relate to each other in a way that respects maturity of thoughts, ideas, beliefs and reactions. It doesn't mean we all think the same thing, but also it means we don't blindly say one thing _must_ be wrong and another _must_ be right.
To use a very good line from the Christian Bible : When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
I'm sure you're complaining about something but it's quite unclear what that is supposed to be. Firstly you complain about people not using informal language, then you argue that we are guilty of reductionism. Certainly I want people to write in proper English on this site, but that's so that we can all understand each other clearly and therefore not worry about occlusion of meaning.
...And that is an example of what I mean, I would never usually use the word 'occlusion', because I want people to understand what I write without having to stop and wonder if they are interpreting it correctly. There's a big difference between not swearing n usin st00pid w0rd5 lyk dis. It's very easy to write in proper English and get your message across, you yourself have done it on many occasions. Of course, if a person has trouble with their writing then we're not going to jump on them for that either, I just want this place to be about easy communication primarily, not the style that the words are written in. Although, I'm not even sure that this is your point because, having looked through your older posts, I can see that clearly you have a fine grasp of how to write.
Essentially what this seems to be about is you. I'm guessing you are feeling depressed and felt like trying to be destructive. That's up to you but maybe being constructive would help more, try writing more poetry, or maybe give painting a go (using graphics packages just doesn't give the same feeling of satisfaction as having used proper paints).
You complain that we have forgotten our childhoods, we haven't, we've just grown stronger from them. Part of that strength allows us to be able to see your post and not let it start an argument.
As other people have said, if you don't like it here then don't stay. It's as simple as that. If the idea of people talking and making their own mind up about things is a problem for you then don't stay. If you think that we are all suckling at the teat of mass-consumer television and this bothers you, then don't stay. Alternatively, if you do actually like these forums and actually enjoy posting here then do stay.
If you enjoy the forums stay, if you don't then go. Life is too short to waste it posting things that are an expression of, and a contributor to, unhappiness, and if that's all this place is for you then go find something that will make you happy. If that's a good/bad thing then so be it. Things that make you happy = good, things that make you unhappy = bad. If we're the latter then don't stay here. It really is that easy, I just want people to be happy, but maybe that's just the childish innocent in me speaking
