argg its seems so long ago I took Japanese. Probably lots of spelling errors in this.
I do how ever remember the following.

biru o kudasai?
biru o mouhitotu onegai shimasu.

Konniciwa Mark es, matazone yokoso! (that is def not spelt right)

こんにち は。
ぼく は にほんご を はなします。
わたし は いちばん いいです。

Translators are funny. "Translators are funny" when translated becomes

訳者は事をおかしくさせる。

Which although I dont recognize some of the words. Has something to do with pointing at something strangley.

If you want to be able to type in japanese on your computer, I found a tutorial of how to do it here http://pub25.ezboard.com/fpolykarbonbbsfrm...picID=949.topic.
It doesn't seem to work well with interent explorer, but you can type it in Word or something and paste it in.
Or if you don't want to do it that way, you can download a program called NJStarJapanese. Just Google for NJStar, it should be the first link.

YAY ME!!! (no really that is almost literally the only Japanese I know.... I like anime though! )

the bf has been slowly teaching me japanese, but since we're going off of his Japanese knowledge from high school, I'm not learning too much . Although I do know how to say "my hand is a cat"

Okay, this post is about a few things. First off, it's a bump, so people who didn't know this thread was here can see it. Second, I figured, no one from japan is going to find this website through a search engine if there aren't that many japanese characters, so I'll be posting a little bit about myself. I also realized that not everyone who learned Japanese knows the alphabets, and even less the kanji. Because of this, I will post whatever I say in Japanese in japanese characters, followed by the same thing in romaji (Romanized Japanese). This way people who know just a little japanese can try to work it out even if they don't know the japanese characters. This should also help if you don't know a kanji I use, don't worry, there won't be many. If you can't work it out, an online translator should work on the characters. It's not fool-proof, however, because I still have a lot to learn and am far from infallible.

私　の　なまえ　は　ジョン　です。　日本語　は　すこし　わかります。
アメリカ　人　です。 せいと　です。　十九さい　です。
アニメ　が　すき　です　から　日本語　を　べんきょうします。
シュウ　ちゃん　が　大すき。
さようなら。
