Osama Bin Lotto

Thanks to my favorite left-wing extremist Eric Blumrich at BushFlash.com, my (everyone's?) suspicions about Bin Laden's capture in conjuction with the Bush Campaign.

For those without fast internet connections who don't want to wait for the animation to load (although I do recommend it, it's pretty entertaining, and a lot more interesting):

According to Iranian State Radio, Bin Laden was captured back in February, and the guess is that Bush is just holding out on the release of such information until a good time for a political move, sometime between now and the elections, to pre-occupy the public, distract them from the issues and the war, and make Bush look like a hero.

Discussion can follow here, but seeing as it's a conspiracy theory, I don't think anyone's going to be convinced that it is or it isn't true by what's thrown around in here.

What I'm interested in is... when will it be? Pick a general date and why you think it.

My guess is around the 4th of July, because it will be early enough to be "unsuspicious", and it's right there next to am easy holiday to syncronize the psycho-patriotism component of the Bush administration with the people's personal lives.

What's your guess?

My guess is begging of August. Just so that its fresh in everyones minds for the election.

On a side note has anyone heard about the Michael Moore movie that disney is banning. It sort of ties into this I suppose.
Sir Maxerpopple
I'd say october, if the Bush administration is using the capture as a political move, then a month before the election would be a probable place. If they are sincerely unable to capture him(not an impossibility), then time will tell.

July and September are big months, so I'm thinking sometime during August.

What do you mean when Bush IS reelected? tongue.gif I haven't totally given up hope YET...but I know they'll still be looking even if Kerry is elected, right? They couldn't be pulled out that fast, I doubt it.

When did they find Hussain again? Day/month? And what the heck is going on with him?! What is he doing in jail every day?! How come everyone forgot about Hussain? I want more!

Oh, and I think October will be too late to stir up things.
Hyperion
After he's re-elected. It's like... he'll use the "I'ma capture bin Laden" thing and then actually do it. That way, if he screws up next term, he can say "But I got the bad guuuy..." and make people forget.

I hope Kerry wins... ._.

You know what everybody else forgot about?

AFGHANISTAN

Slightly off-topic, but nobody seems interested that we basically devastated the country then completely forgot about it and moved on. Nobody ever mentions it any more.

Anyway...my guess is right before election month. So it'll be obvious - so what? That's never bothered politicians before.

October, 15. Just a wild guess.
And last time I checked, Afghanistan was doin pretty well. I heard that they are almost done with their constitution. We also just didn't move on, we still have people over there helping out.
Sir Maxerpopple
Afghanistan no longer provides good ratings, hell we had a full-fledged war in Iraq, so why should the media spend time there? Same thing happened with Korea. It disapeared off the radar after we "won" the war.
Silver Star Angel of Da Towers
I doubt he'll ever be captured. If he was, there'd be too much closure. No more questions about it, or debates, or election promises.
Tigersong
If he does get captured around the election... hoo boy. At least then I'll be a bigger conspiracy theory believer. Especially different, since Bush seems to be the only guy who really inspires paranoia in me... never used to believe in conspiracies...

Nah... I think July 4th would be too twee, and too far from the elections.

I personally think that a month or so before the elections would be the time it'd happen. I think this because America is a patriotic country, and dispensing with an enemy of the US (as he's been touted) so close to election time would be a vote-winner, big time!

This would never work in the UK - we don't fall for such blatant ploys cos none of us really gives a monkeys about our country. You simply don't see the Union Jack flying in every garden here unless there's a royal wedding (and since most of us don't give two hoots about the monarchy either, it's a wee bit hypocritical!) No, instead we fall for the lower taxes sucker punch...
