So, the secrets out. I'm a roleplayer (no sniggering at the back please)
I generally do Loren Trust live action, and UK Masquerade live action vampire.
Plus table top Cthulhu, Mage, SLA, InNomine (not all at once) and the odd bit of AD&D.
Geeks unite!
Any one else like to own up?

I used to play white wolf changeling and garou in Reading in the UK but stopped about three years ago due to trains being a b**ch and more OOC politics than the average vampire court! I do still create characters though when I am bored. It is because of changeling that my faerie obseesion became just that!

sympathy - you must have had one of the bad ones. If you see them again tell them to shut up!
Same with any hobby, if you don't do it then its a boring as hell.

Ran wild around the University of Victoria campus one evening with a live action version of cyberpunk. Many, many moons ago.
Nowadays, when I game, I game with dice and table. I've tried different games and I find it depends on group and gamemaster how enjoyable a time is had.
Did that last sentence make any sense at all?

I playWhite Wolf Vampire live action whenever I get dragged along by my mates and am at home (which is annoyingly not very often), quite a bit of table top stuff too. I need to hurry up and get a proper net connection so I can convince people to play MSN/IRC based roleplay games more often.

Lol... My dad is a rlly rlly good GM. He doesnt like d&D cos it confines him to one style. You ever played cyberpunk RPGs? It's fun.
But my heart will forever belong to D&D...

Larp? Larp?!? Bah. Today I saw several; re-enactment groups. I spotted some old friends among the vikings. The upshot of my saying hello was that I'm going to be hit with steel weapons tomorrow evening.
It isn't easy being a fuzzy man.

Very quickly, my friends got me into larping pretty hardcore. We're doing Star Wars RPG, because we all love Star Wars. THat's like double the nerdiness, I know, but it's fun.
My character is a 28-year-old kahjiit named Jaeger Andross. He was born on the planet Asaenga, but during the Mandelorian wars, he and his family left for Tatooine. His race is Force-sensitive to begin with and the presence of the Jedi helped him to begin understanding the Force (or "Spirits") more. His weapons are his claws and a lightsaber he found off of a fallen Jedi.
Right now, our campaign is taking place in the Old Republic on Tatooine where I am teaming up with my tech specialist friend, a pair of Jedi and a Twi'let noblewoman to check out some shadiness going down with the Huts.
I'm such a geek. *hides*

Ah, don't worry, we're all geeks here. I don't larp, but I was in this Mordor treasure hunt thread online for a while until some power-hungry b**ch tried to take over the thread. Very Mary-Sue. Long blonde hair, special thief skills, wanted to steer the boat even though my character was the pilot and it would be a stupid thing to do in the context of the thread anyway. Curse these Mary Sue drama queens..... Now I just hang out here and watch pointless animations all over the place.

I've been invited to a vampire LARP in Raleigh by a friend. I would go, but I don't feel like running around pretending. I'd rather do that through text.
Also, it means going outside. *hiss*

wow... i really want to do Star Wars LARP, shame i don't have the costume or the players hehe... i've done star wars table top a few times, but we haven't really got the right players for it

me and my friends have also started up a vampire Live Action, using the old Masquarade(sp?) system... and the plot line continues on from the the old national game (only from Staffords point of veiw mind, coz we're in stafford)

We don't use costumes, actually, however some of us really get into it. I have an accent that is a cross between a bad Irish accent and a bad eastern European accent and I got really into it during a battle with some Sith.
My GM is the biggest twat, though. He had my arm lobbed off and replaced with a robotic one. THe thing is that my kind shuns technology and he won't let me get a faux fur covering because he says it's "too expensive" though he never gives me a price. Now I'm indebted to a Jedi whom I distrust with a padawan I hate.

Oh, dude, we encourage costuming. If I could, I'd make a costume. However, I've no sewing skills or the money to get the materials to have one of my friends make one.
Before I got the robotic one (which I still am "getting used to"), I tucked my arm into my shirt and bitched and complained about it. I get into it way more than anyone else, save our GM.
