It's on the album by Modular Series called The Dakoma Sessions and its a bloomin' good album. There's a link up now on the front page.

If you use my link to go to Music Non-Stop (the people stocking the album) then whatever you buy I get 10% of the sale towards running my site. I've bought stuff from them before and they're damn good so I'm really pleased that Mod Series are being stocked by them.

OMG I'M BUYIN THAT RIGHT NOW! (by 'now' i mean 'when i stop bein so goddam lazy and actually buy it')

I really like it. There's some really good electronica, some really fast guitars and lots of heavy moments. It's always difficult to place a band's style but I think that they're probably somewhere between Pitchshifter, The Prodigy, perhaps a dash of Linkin Park (but not enough to make things cheesy) and a few bits of Orbital for good measure. And maybe some late Killing Joke in there too.

they also seem to have a bit of the dust/chemical bros in them as well altyhough mainly the dust incarnation
Mata
There are so many influences it's really hard to trace 'em all. There are some tracks that are a lot more rocky and some that just kick in with full-on electronic dance beats (quite dust brothers-ish).

I'm listening to it at the moment smile.gif

yeah the track for the zuriel anim sound a bit like a track from the fight club sound track (dust bros)
Mata
I haven't watched that for a while, I'll have to go and check!

Well i ordered it, i buckled under the extraordinary peer pressure and used some of my student loan/overdraft to pay it off, sounds good though biggrin.gif

Could someone please let me know where I can get "Modular Series: The Dakoma Sessions"? It's driving me mad trying to find it.

Astarael
... I would suggest amazon.com.
Why on earth did you bump a really ancient thread to ask a customer service-type question? Furthermore, what inspired you to find this thread? It's nearly two years old! huh.gif
obsessed_series1
I'm not quite right in the head, I suppose. Interesting though that someone replied to a 2 year old thread so quickly. Well thanks anyway.

Try joining the mailing list at http://amoki.com/ then dropping them a line through that. Many of the members from Modular Series formed that band when MS split up.

I remember getting them to play a track from Dakoma Sessions at the first meet. Ahh, memories.

Edit: Now I think about it, I also remember going to see them live...getting very drunk and waking up the elderly owners of the B&B I was staying in. Hurrah!
Mata
Yeah, they were a really fun band, but creative differences have been the death of many a musical adventure. Chris, the guy who did the electronica music for a couple of Modular Series scores on my Little Goth Girl animations, says that he's keen to do stuff for me again so there will probably be more from him in the future.
