If it didn't have swearing in the first fifteen seconds then I'd probably suggest that as a standard 'watch this please' thing. As it is, it's still spot on though.

That was awesome. There are some people who should really watch that animation.

'Tis bleeped out though, surely that's no different from an asterixed-out curse word, a practice permitted on these forums?

Ooo! Battle of the mods!
*pops some popcorn*
(Is a spam whore)
(By the way, Commie, I think Mata's right on this one... they still have minor swearing throughout... i.e. "ya dumbass" which could be a bit of a system shock to some kids.)
Good animation... now for that popcorn.

I agree. How can anyone really be offended by the beep itself? What it implies, maybe, but someone could get offended at any number of substitutes for "f**k"... it does say dumbass, though. *shock, horror*

Yes it does, watch it again.
"Dumbass" is allowed on the boards, so what's the problem?
This I think highlights a bit of trans-Atlantic difference - the idea of "dumbass" being considered swearing - even "minor swearing" - is a very strange one.

Heh heh heh, commie said ass.
Must admit tho, they went pretty soft on the beep, I mean, if we look at the text equivilant, it would amount to one asterix at most = f*ck

Sep 19 2004, 12:51 AM
Which could be fick, fock, fack, feck, fyck, or a number of all-consonant words that don't exist.

A bleep can make things much ruder as a certain radio show proves

The point is that the bleep only means nothing if you know the word. If you dont know it, you learn nothing, and if you do, the bleep makes no difference.

I guess my head must've just automatically filled in the 'beep' with the word they were replacing. My mistake!
