All my poetry is influenced by my passions in life, but you can take whatever way you want. If you want my personal interpretation just ask me.

All I have is this piece of shit guitar
that doesn't even have enough strings
to be played.

I thought I had it bad when I lived next to
the crack house
but at least I had a home back then
at least I had running water and heat
but all of that is just a memory because now

All I have is this piece of shit guitar
that doesn't even have enough strings
to be played

I thought I had it bad when I was
just a kid
when mommy and daddy were never around
and when they were they'd
blame all their shit on me
and say its my fault
but all of that is just a memory because now

All I have is this piece of shit guitar
that doesn't even have enough strings
to be played

I thought I had it bad
two days ago-
I still had a little bit of money left
some nice folks threw money at me-
while I was playing my guitar-
(the one that doesn't even have enough strings)
but I spent it all on some cheeseburgers
cause I was real hungry
but all of that is just a memory because now

All I have is this piece of shit guitar
that doesn't even have enough strings
to be played

Them folks kept throwin money in my guitar case
I got to thinkin maybe I wasn't so bad afterall
So I saved up my money and
bought me a new guitar string

All I have is this piece of shit guitar
that has all the strings
and can be played

Its alot different from poems I usually see. (which consist of mine and my boyfriends) Its nice to see more materialistic things brought into the more psychological parts of life. And plus, it ended on a happy, but sort of strange note, because you have the guitar with all the strings now.... (maybe its symbolic, but my brain hurts too much to think about what it could symbolise) but somehow its sort of sad. Usually mine end off more depressing than they started, and my boyfriends end up on something sort of funny.

Well, good job anyhow ^^

I like it, although my guitar isn't crap until yesterday it had those really crappy flatwound strings on (never buy them, they sound dull and you can hardly bend them) so I stuck on some Elixir Nanoweb 10 - 52s and although I now have a really high action they really made my guitar more playable.

Anyway, cool poem, maybe I should do some busking...
