I've been trying to get this all together for the last couple of days, as people know from talking to me in chat yesterday when I was totally obsessed with html. BTW Missy, I did dream about html last night. GAH

My new site is done for now......It includes: My online gallery/portfolio of my artwork, Poetry, A more reader friendly version of the Rants for those who don't care for the backgrounds and flash, An online journal I'll try to update daily but we'll see, and a Guestbook so you can tell me what you think.

If you want to check it out

LoLo's Crap

P.S. Thank you leo for all those site with free hosting, I tried signing up for a couple of them and then just got frustrated at my lack of though process and just made the other site work. I'll look into them more when I want to add some more flash and flair to my site. biggrin.gif

LoLo
I just added todays journal entry if anyone is interested in that part of the site.
LoLo
The sculptures are my fav as well, and the things I have the most fun doing. I want to do more like the last three but alas I have no money for the supplies and when I do those I really tear up my hands when I make those and can't do anything useful for another week until they heal.

gotta love rulers lol.
oobunnie
i'm not verry good with rullers. my lines still end up all squiggily. but i love you art work all of it. are you planning on being an artist
LoLo
I've been an artist most of my life so I feel I already am one. lol

I know you meant for money. I'm currently going to school to be a graphic design artist. I hope to one day be able to do something creative and make enough money to survive. What I would really like to do is make my sculptures and sell them, but its hard to get discovered.
oobunnie
really i think thats fantastic, i'm sure you'll do well your stuff is wonderful. why dont you just buy your own shop and sell your sutff. that would be fun

for these reasons: #1 I'm unemployed
#2 I'm in debt with no savings
#3 People in my area only embrace art if its "traditional"
#4 I have no money.

But yeah I would love to own my own gallery along with, night club, and cafe lol.

The website looks really cool, LoLo smile.gif I read your journal entry for today too.... I am glad that things seem to be looking up for you!! smile.gif I haven't checked out the links to other websites yet... but I like how the one for the t-shirts says "Some of the funniest and most offensive shirts I've ever seen".... that's funny smile.gif
LoLo
This post used to say what a shirt says, but I think people will probably find it offensive so BE GONE SHIRT QUOTE!
craziness
wow lolo, your sculptures are really something!!

I don't know where else to post this so here it goes:

Today my mom came home with a proposition for me. One of the ladys she works with remembers the dancing lady sculpture from when my mom got to have it in her office, and would like to hire me to do a piece for her. The problem is that she wants the sculpture to go outside and I've never made a weather proof version of those types of sculputers. To explain them, the last three on the page are really quite huge, and this is the type she wants. They are made with a wire frame that I bend to be the shape I want, and then I cover them either in paper machet or in plaster and gause. Niether of those ways will work for the outside though. I need ideas on weather proofing......anybody have some for me?

I've come up with 3.........1. do it as normal and cover it in wax, which may be rather expensive and I don't know how well wax will hold up in the Cali heat.
2. do it like normal then cover it in a thin coat of cement, but I don't know the paintability of that.
3. do it like normal then cover it in a thin coat of stucko.....I'm not really sure what to do thats why I'm asking for ideas!
SuperKathoid

Plaster, cement, stucko... something like that should work... i can ask a few art geek friends of mine if you want...

I also suggest you make a sample sculpture, just little, out of the materials you want to try to use, and leave it outside for a few days, or just take it in the shower with you or something, to see how waterproof it is...

whatever you use, i would suggest some sort of sealant on it... i wouldnt know what... look around a hardware type store or somethin... they should be able to help you with something i would think....

-k biggrin.gif
LoLo
Thanks Super K! such great ideas! I would appreciate you asking some art geeks if you have time.....I'm an art geek and I can't seem to figure it out on my own lol.

The small version is a great idea.......and see I didn't think of that. lol

**hugs super k!**

I love you super k!

thanks again super k..........I don't know how much this lady is going to pay me but I do know that my sculptures like that have gotten offers of 300-400 dollars. We'll see.

This whole thing is kind of weird cause my mom doesn't know about the new site, and I probably won't tell her cause I want to be able to write whatever I want in my journal entries without worry, so for her to come home with this offer on a day when I was just talking about how I wanted to do this is blowing my mind.

I need to go study now.
LoLo
If you look for a reason for why everything is happening today, you might be surprised to find that there really is no explanation. Just go with the flow and try not to ask too many questions. This might be a difficult task for you, since you like to base a lot of your beliefs on actual data and facts, but there are some things that will happen that are simply beyond the realms of reason. You might even have to pinch yourself once or twice to make sure you aren't dreaming.

(this is my horrorscope for today......how right it is! lol)

MistressAlti
I played Utopia before Matazone.
NummyNums
utopia? ....... ?..............?
MistressAlti
Utopia. It was a game over on swirve.com, highly played, then it got taken over by advertising, which happens when you run something played by over 50000 people for free...
LoLo
New journal entry for anyone who reads them.......I'm going to stop updating on that after this post, and you'll just have to check in from time to time. lol But like I said, I will try and do one everyday.
