there are 5 pink-ish boxes in the bottom of my avatar/title/info area. what do they mean (if you've posted that already, i'm about to go read through the thread, and if i find an answer, i'll delete the post) i THINK that indicates how many times i've been warned by a mod.... but if that's true, then there should only be three there, not five....
CrissiLove
Things have definitely changed.... lol I really like the new look! smile.gif The first thing I noticed is that the text is all a lot smaller.... lol I was a little slow to notice everything else.... hehe

Then again, I could de-admin you!

And in one fell swoop you could take over the fora! Fuzzy would be our new king!

That's the warning bar, and no, you haven't been warned at all yet. You'll know when you've been warned, your percent warning will go up.
gerbilfromhell
ok missy thanks.
so that means only you can see your warning level?

Yep, and mods and admins can see everybody's.

er... what ever happened to the good old "mark forum as read" button that was my best friend on here... it seems to have vanished!
Mr Fuzzy
A spider monkey stole it.

Well... OK then... It didn't. The nasty little monkey did move it to the very bottom of the page though.

What I have discovered about the new layout to the forums: Using Netscape makes posts go missing, posts combine with other members posts, pretty much everything debs was complaining about. IF this realization has already been made and I don't realize it, is because I'm using my netscape right now rather than IE. So if you want the boards to work with no problems, view through IE.
Mata
Hmmm... This is all rather odd. Mr Fuzzy is the tech bod for these kind of things. Barry, have you seen anything about this problem in the support files?

Yes the text is really small for the first time I actually had to wear my glasses to read the board it really strains your eyes

Not so far, but I'm hunting. I've got Firebird and Netscape downloading now to see if I get the same problems.

Hmm... Now I'm simultaneously using IE, Opera, Firebird, and Netscape. They all seem to be working exactly the same for me so far. I'll carry on randomly using each for a while, and see if I meet with any trouble.

Debs and I both couldn't see the post in the UK meet photos thread where Inky's picture link was placed unless we went to IE. If that helps.
Mr Fuzzy
Now I see what you are getting at. Time to scour every information source on the board I can find. This really is extremely odd.

Netscape is indeed based on Mozilla, but it appears that Opera is a different beast entirely, since that happily chews on this place with nary a complaint.
LoLo
Here's another one fuzzmiester. On the westcoast meet day poll, Cheese's picture shows but it's Prince aries post that we are reading.
Mr Fuzzy
This is starting to rip away little bits of my soul. I'm starting to get the horrible feeling I'm actually going to have to join the Invision forums, and do the unblokely thing of asking what to do. I feel so emasculated... dry.gif
LoLo
ooooooooo poor fuzzy. want a hug? maybe some icecream? how about a copy of doc hollywood on dvd?
Mr Fuzzy
I probably need porn and sports. Shame I'm not a sports fan...

/me gives in to the inevitable, and minces around a bit.
Mata
Rah! That's another one recruited!!! Umm... I mean... Err... *points* Look! It's a bird flying backwards!

*runs away*

Very true. I run Opera and don't have a single problem smile.gif

I propose a change to the system that automatically dispatches a crack team of hamsters down the phone lines to chew holes in every sock owned by any forum user who's warning reaches 100%

That'll learn them.

*cough*SPAM*cough*
Mr Fuzzy
Hmm... Not sure I can work out how to make a mod for that. Best learn PHP I suppose.

I'm still working on the browser thing by the way. I'm just getting the same board software set up on my home network so that I can really punish it. If nothing else I'm learning... wacko.gif
