My thanks to Jaq and Emily Dickinson (you couldn't tell the influence, but it was the poem Jaq had as her sig.)

a. I messed up the form
b. I haven't edited
c. I was under the influence of sleep deprivation
d. it sorta sucks.

Might I forsake a lilac -
Too delicate, I'm sure
Tattered petals in the sand
Illustrate who we were.

Might I forsake myself
I'd perish, I'm afraid
Too fragile to be silenced
In this dimension of grey.

As the light softly chanted
To the night so necromantic
Many grieve, but the forsaken
Grimace as all is taken.

Strike me - until I shake
If I chance to forsake
Anything devoid of lies
I tremble as I shut my eyes.

No guilt is shown, nothing drawn
Of the figure in the dawn
Slicing veracity to create
Murder in the name of hate.

As the light softly chanted
To the night so necromantic
Many grieve, but the forsaken
Grimace as all is taken.

The deeds are done, the chasms filled
While buckets of broken dreams are spilled
On the steps of Mystery's palace
Marching upward without malice.

Isolated an immobilized, I no longer see
Existence lasting into eternity.
Instead each ceases, even ceasing itself
The death of death on immortality's shelf.

As the light softly chanted
To the night so necromantic
Many grieve, but the forsaken
Grimace as all is taken.

Forever is forsaking, let the truth unfold
Chapters that demolish all the story untold
There is no fleeing - it is inevitable -
The suffering undeniably uncomparable.

Cloak yourself in fallacy
The reality shall prevail
Deny not the symphony
Of your own writhing wail.

As the light softly chanted
To the night so necromantic
Many grieve, but the forsaken
Grimace as their lives are taken.
Gothymothy girl
