So I had a detention today and the teacher didn't even bother to turn up! I mean, I waited there for 30min until another teacher came and told me I could go because it didn't look as if she would come. She even sent me a reminder to turn up and couldn't even remember herself. Why does she give them if she doesn't want to do them?

my rant: yesterday, my friend was looking at the post I had made, when his dad walked up behind him and saw my avatar, then said "I don't think that you should be on this site." The friend tried to explain that he knew me and so on, but his dad just wouldn't listen... so, no more matazone for him!

ummm... they keep pages of what websites used to look like. It's interesting seeing Google when it first came out.

Rant for today:

People who think a shiney Jaguar and an attitude problem gives them the right to attempt to run people on pedestrian crossings (she basically decided to lurch even further onto the crossing as I passed) when the pedestrians (that'd be me) were crossing perfectly legally (green man). No idea what her problem was but gah, the lights were against her, she should get over it!

Add to that people in builders vans who don't signal and you have a crap morning before even getting into work.

I beleive you're talking about Edinburgh (so said the Wishing Thread)...and you're so right! Try crossing at the corner of Chambers St and South Bridge at 9.30 every weekday morning...It's hard enough to dodge the soap-dodging drunks at the Tron after slogging it up Cockburn St with a 3 tonne book-bag never mind trying not to get smooshed for crossing the road when you're meant to!

And I may have to kill some cyclists too. Especially the ones that mount the pavement to avoid traffic lights (then give me a dirty look for y'know - walking on their pavement!) but still insist on slowing down traffic the rest of the time, come on people! Road or pavement - take your pick, just stay the hell out of my way!

Hey, I bear no malice... Your thread, your rules. (Besides, I found the thread a little too kinky for my taste, anyways. I should have left well enough alone, but I didn't, and I apologise). As for the public rant, I needed to let off some steam... and, I thought, I was pretty restrained, at that. If it hadn't been for a certain individual gloating at my distress, I wouldn't have felt the need to rant, in the first place... and I apologise for any distress my rant may have caused you... If you obviously have such a problem with me and my objection to the things you post occasionally, why don't you follow your own damned advice and PM me! Then we can 'have it out' there, instead of tediously dragging this out in an attempt to get oneupmanship over each other.

Normally I come to the forums because everyone gets along and it's a nice break from the real world but recently it seems that everyone is getting angry. This isn't really a rant, just thought I'd say it because maybe people will be like, 'oooh yeah..' ...

Stop this faux martyrism and get on with it. You're all just bitching and trying to look like the better person but none of you are really, it's a silly argument and I bet you could fix it out in minutes if you weren't too busy making snide public comments about each other. I know I don't want to see it and I'm betting no-one else does either.

Please sort it out, I hate to see Matazonians argue over daft things, and I really hate when you bring it out in public, only a day or so ago Ri was being slated for badmouthing a forumite in public. That's exactly what you guys are doing and seeing as all of you are active members its doubly not on.

I still have oh, so much homework left and I don't understand half of it. Also I'm being yelled at to go to bed. Grr. I really do hate homework with a passion. I mean, I go to school and work, and then they try to invade my life that does most certainly not revolve around school. Grr.

thank you, thank you all. I have my own opinions on this, but I'll keep them to myself, as I'm not involved, and don't care to be.
I now pronouce this issue over with, and you two can carry this on in PMs. Or, you may just let it drop, and try to pretend it never happend.

Anyway, I have a truckload of homework, and have to somehow read a book in a less than a week. Also, the little kids that my mom keeps are driving me INSANE.
